I have done quite well in February. I have stopped reading this thread religously because it was leading me astray.

I have used up a M&S Cotton Bud hand lotion as a body lotion this month and have now started on a Soap & Co hand and body lotion my mum bought bogof and gave me one. I have also used up a Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner and my last Aveda Elixar conditioner. I will work my way through the other leave in conditioners I have to see if I can find a replacement for the Elixar. I was discontinued about 2 years ago and I bought a small stash but it is all gone now.

). I might as well use them as hand creams as you say... problem is I've like 10 different hand creams! (plus, I sinned with the bodyshop hemp creams!) :o

.......if you just apply eye creams/ unwanted anti ageing creams to the backs of hands it does help improve the skin more than handcream alone;)

I'll tell myself that next time I feel the impulse of giving eye creams yet another try and buy one! :D

OH declared in Asda tonight that he had had enough of 'smelling like a girl' so I gave in and bought him 4 Lynx shower gels (in the 4 for £3) offer. He wasn't really smelling like a girl, probably more like lemons or apples ;)
I am slowly ploughing through with stuff, but think DD is getting a bit fed up with me asking what she's used when she comes out of the shower. I'm tempted to start keeping a permanent marker in the bathroom so I can keep a visual tab on things going down, seriously why does nice stuff not last yet Dove Creme Oil Bodywash seems to have the qualities of the bloody Tardis!!
That 4 for £3 deal in Asda is actually quite good, but I restrained myself.
My best friend is coming over tomorrow for fajitas and wine, she's having a really awful time at the minute (her dad has alzheimer's and the next move is looking like a care home :() so I've promised her a night of treats - face mask, manicure/pedicure and a rummage through my stuff (my friends are always amazed at the stuff I have, they are sensible girls) to see if she wants anything.
Hope you're all well and strapped safely into your wagons! :)

I agree! Nice stuff goes far too quickly! Hope you have a good time with you friend and she gets some nice stuff (great idea!)

Have managed to finish off a tub of salt brushing and a clean mary face wash, probably wouldn't buy either again, they were average.

Gonna give the time delay eye cream one last go tonight and if still makes my skin burn it's going in the bin.

  • hello everyone, i am a newbie to the forums after following you all for some time. I will introduce myself - i am alfie and i am a recovering beauty-holic. I am loving all the chat here as you are all like minded people. I didn't realise i had a problem until a friend once commented that i always "need" something from boots! Had my lbm in boots sale when i bought a shower gel/bubble bath set that i grabbed when i did'nt check if i liked the smell (always sniff before buying!) its horrible stuff and i had been given a load of smellies for xmas. Am ploughing my way through stuff used up a bubble bath tonight and have my stash all sorted so i can see what i have before buying more stuff.
Have managed not to buy anything since christmas and am thinking of setting myself a further challenge of £20 budget for the rest of the year when i do need something as i need to curb my love of fancy stuff which costs the earth - especially when i have a big overdraft

  • Evening ladies...hope you're all ok

today I finished off a FCUK body souffle...WIBA....It smells lovely, and did make my skin smell nice after too, so Yes I probably would
Also an Avon body Yoghurt..WIBA..NO, think its discountinued now anyway, I think I agree with Tara, this challenge has defo made me realise I am a body butter girl
Also a pack of facial wipes used up. So not too bad...

this challenge is enlightening...I'm finding out what I do like and what I don't, and even if something is cheap or on offer at Avon or somewhere, I'm now thinking that I would rather use the money and buy nice stuff, like S&G, No7, Sanctuary etc..and not end up in the mess I'm in now, desperately trying to use up unwanted/unliked stuff...
    :hello:No more toiletries challenge :T
