No buying toiletries in February challenge!

OK, while my stash is nothing on some of them here, I have just found another back. I saw some jojoba oil (thankfully something I use,) and slammed it shut quickly.
The other thing I'm finding while I clean and tidy, is how much stuff we keep around because we don't wan to throw it: stuff that would be better in storage. One of the things we've avoided putting in storage containers are tins...in case they rust? I doubt thats likely...if it were damp all our stuff would be in trouble.....but we have loads, dozens, of empty tins....too beautiful to throw, and will be useful when we move out from here but totally unnecessary and clutter now.0 -

In not so good news, an eBay buyer claims that an item I sent arrived with just an empty envelope (apparently it 'looks like it burst in transit'). !!!!!!!!! Luckily I got proof of postage (inlcuding the weight of the package!) so will be submitting a claim via Royal Mail. Has this happened to any of you? I'm reluctant to think that she's trying it on... maybe I should give her the benefit of the doubt. Really annoyed though... *cry*
Brilliant result in Boots!
This has happened to me sending and receiving. I have put in claim forms with Royal Mail and they have paid out. I once sent an expensive item to an Ebayer who send it was broken, he sent me pictures, I put a claim in and when they paid out, I refunded him. They didn't take long to pay out so I was quite pleased.
The postal service these days is shocking, I've had stuff delivered with a small slit in one side where someone has removed whatever's in it and then posted it. I can't help but blame someone in the post office system, who else could it be?
With regards to the Ebayer, check her feedback to see if she's had anything not delivered before, one party or the other will usually mention it if there's been a problem. Then you might have an idea if she's trying it on.Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620 -
Good luck trying to claim off RM
i once sold a pair of snowboard trousers, they arrived to the buyer in a RM plastic bag, that was the first i heard of the damage that had been done they'd dropped the trousers and someone in the depot had drove over them they had oil marks on them i put my complaint in and RM sent me 6 1st class stamps for the inconvienence sold the trousers for just over £38.000 -
Can't say I'm surprised. Did you see the Dispatches programme on RM the other night? Every complaint on there has happened to us. Our current postie delivers after 6pm every night, once after 9pm and they reckon this is normal.
They have zero customer service if you have no proof. I've complained to the ombudsman about them with one particular complaint, OFFCOM I think, after a CS person at RM told me there was no ombudsman. I found it on the web in the end.Mortgage to clear asap! - [STRIKE]£148,874.38 [/STRIKE]as at 1 May 2013£79,176.55 May 2018£59,516.06 July 2019November 2020 £35,914.620 -
Second that regarding proof as hubby forgot a COP at the PO and you've guessed it the parcel went missing I was given a book of 6 1st class stamps as I did not have proof.
I have had parcels turn up from Ebay repackaged by the RM as the seller had used a paper envelope and they had disentegrated in the postal system.
Buyers have contacted me to say that they have had to pay extra postage to pay, this is after I have had them weighed & franked at the PO, I refunded the buyer his £1.50 and complained to the RM they sent me 36 1st class stamps as compensation.0 -
It's interesting to hear what face wipes people use and like. I don't use them at all anymore because I just can't find any I like. I used to LOVE some cheap ones I bought in the Asda years ago. Think they were called Dr Fisher or something like that and were in an orangey peachy coloured packet. They were brill and apart from cleaning my face really well they actually gave me really clear skin :T I was buying them for a few months then all of a sudden they just stopped selling them
I love the Asda own ones they sell now. They are under a quid and really remove anything I have on my face. I use the sensitive skin ones and have never had a problem with them. I have about 6 left in the cupboard, I did have 15 :T8 months to go till end of the IVA :j:rotfl::T0 -

That's happened to me on numerous occasions, you've just reminded me. Where we used to live, I had no end of recorded delivery stuff shoved through the letter box, the postie signed for them himself! Kind of defeats the object of people paying for the service doesn't it? He once even send to my husband do you want to sign for stuff or shall I just post it??? It beggars belief. You complain to the sorting office and they couldn't give a toss. Like on Dispatches, the manager said "all the customers are liars". My question is what is the point of the customer's lying, they don't get anything out of it?
