tc3061 awh honey I am sure you are not huge - not many of us like what we look like in photos - are you planning to lose weight? why not get a copy of the photo and stick it up on your fridge or notice board and it will remind you that you want to feel better about yourself. about the blinds - if you get a a good day - pop them in the bath with bio washing powder and let them soak for an hour then you will find the dust and grime washes off very easily then hang them over the washing line to dry - failing that just now you could try a cloth wrung out from a basin of hot water and stardrops and wipe them over as much as you can - might have to give it a few goes over a couple of weeks depending on how bad they are - maybe some of the others will have a better idea - micrfibre cloths are great - even just wet

good luck with the weigh=ins TC & TC

    tootsxx
    Thank you :A
I'm not sure how the blinds would fair with being soaked, plus the 2 metre one is far to big, so I think I will just keep wiping them every time the living room comes round on the list - then they'll never be dusty again :D

Am so sorry everyone, I've skim read the last 7 pages and although I have thanked them, I'm not 100% sure what they all said. Pse forgive me, I just don't seem to be able to keep up :o!

On a much more positive note, please can I have my 2nd star. This was some achievement in between a zillion other things, but it is shiny and gleaming! It's so much easier when you're not starting from a  position. DD's now have their own 'room' tasks, eldest does all skirting boards, doors and frames. Youngest does room bin emptying and cleaning of bin, and decluttering. I do the rest ... seems to work a treat and when we do it together, it seems to get done so much quicker, which gave us longer to declutter the Twinks afterwoods ;)

    Hugs to all xxx

I'm glad it's not just me, I was feeling terribly guilty because I've got lots of bulbs that were meant to planted in the autumn but didn't manage to do it. They should be ok to plant out next autumn shouldn't they? [insert shrug smiley here]

Do them now Rose. What are they? Bung them in pots (empty flower buckets from supermarkets with a few hole boshed in) with some compost. That way you will at least get some flowers to cut for the house in the spring.

    Hello all

Living room still fairly good so will wait til Friday when I'm off work, we have friends round that evening so will need doing then anyway.

Bit of a disaster tonight when I clumsily knocked a massive jug of gravy over...it was in the oven keeping warm and went all over the inside of the oven, the kitchen floor and the cupboard doors.... So the kitchen got an impromptu clean! DH is going to do the oven this weekend.

Haven't managed to catch up otherwise and I have to be out before 7.30 in the morning as we have a conference (which inexplicably starts registering at 9am!) and we're doing a workshop which we have to set up first. so I'm heading to bed with my book soon (long day with bad journeys both ways - loads of trains cancelled this morning so took me 2 hours to get to work :(

I also managed to lose/leave somewhere my c card the other day, all cancelled as soon as I realised (last fri) so hopefully the replacement will arrive this week. Spending as little as poss on the debit card in the meantime!
