  • Hollyh – thanks for your post. I was sat here saying to my hubby that I wish I’d known when I was pregnant that it was gallstones. Like we both said though, we just thought it was baby resting on nerves or something. Even when I was in labour I had the pain and the midwife just said it was probably just the way the baby was laid – shame I still had it when I’d had the baby! So, it never got mentioned.
Lil_me – I had no idea that you can still get them when you haven’t got a gallbladder – I guess the surgeon will tell me all of that when I meet with him/her
    Kalojac – thank you
Sammiell – thanks for letting me know. I’m sure after a decent night’s sleep I’ll get up and whizz round the rooms and get some serious organising done
And to whoever mentioned bra recycling in an earlier post – thank you as well. I’ll be having a good sort out tomorrow – its time i had a change and i’ve got an Ann Summers party coming up

    http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!/items/1169768-gallstones-after-having-the-gallbladder-removed

Some info on there, my surgeon didn't tell me, I found out from another patient who was in due to non gall bladder gall stones......which will make sense once you have read that. There are diets which help with them, especially in reducing attacks, google gall bladder diet sheet if you want to look it up (I won't post medical advice or I will get in bother) I also had mine when I was expecting DS2, when the agony did not go after he was born and I turned yellow.....I was admitted. That was when the fun started. Also just to mention a personal experience unfortunately my body doesn't like not having a gall bladder but it can't be put back :rotfl: I have bowel issues to put it mildly which seem to be my bodies reaction to the lack of gall bladder. My friend freaked when it came into the lab as she works in the hospital, not often someones bits come in she knows (well probably do but mines a less common name) so she kerflunged it across the table.
One day I might be more organised...........

  • I think I've over done it today, am unbelievably tired and have a red raw throat, which is really annoying as I don't want to go down with something again! Anyway, I was full of energy until about 7pm, so have been rushing around doing stuff!

been for a half hour walk
    washed up
    shreddingx2
    tidied shelf a bit more
    wrote two cards to friends
    knitted half a phone case
    general bits and bobs

I'm sure I've done much more than this but can't think what it all was now. Useless brain! :(

I've got a long list of things to do tomorrow as a grown up is coming round on Wednesday and I want the place to look reasonably nice
