My plan for a more positive week and some flying has gone to pot ........

One of the pupils at school lost his battle against a range of difficulties at the weekend - would really appreciate thoughts and prayers for Joseph and his parents. I am a bit numb ........

That's such sad news. My thoughts are with you all.

Greenbee - thanks for the advice. Have listened to the money box programme and also done a search on google. Apparently I can shred anything prior to 2008/09. I'm not very good with tax years, so may keep all of 2008 and 2009. There'll still be plenty of shredding...:o

Pigpen - a few weeks ago I bought 3 new bras (very cheaply at La Senza outlet shop). The best fitting one is the one I mistakenly bought in a smaller size. I don't get it. (Really missing 'confused' and 'rolleyes').

Thanks for the reference to the petrol prices comparison site (can't remember who mentioned this). Have just signed up for e-mail alerts.

DS1 has been told in no uncertain terms that the 'female friend' sleepover will remain a one-off until he is a fair bit older. He wasn't too happy, but I just left it at that. I don't think he was entirely surprised.

The early mornings are really making themselves felt now. I CBA to do anything when I get in. Must get on with something productive now, but soooo tired. Had at most 4 1/2 hours sleep last night and a busy day.
Getting cold doesn't seem to help, either. When I got to work, the whole building was freezing. Only found out later that the heating had gone off after a short power cut on Friday afternoon and hadn't been switched back on until 6am this morning.

    Ok, I'm going to:

    check clothes for tomorrow
    emtpy and load DW
    put leftovers away
sort another stack of papers in appropriate files
Go to bed with a cuppa and have 10 min with my book. :j(What does everyone else think of e-readers? I'm tempted by the number of books I could own, the adjustable font size and the absence of dust, but in the end it's not the same, really.)

Thoughts and prayers heading that way Frodders - big hugs xxx
    Evening all
Soappie - funny how feelings turn out to be right. Good luck in your new role with your new team..

Yes, it is peculiar. I can never say for CERTAIN something's going to happen, but I often get a vague inkling of things changing... And thanks for the good luck - having witnessed the team from afar, I think I'm going to need it! (Or at least they are - good luck that I don't strangle them for ineptitude ;):D)

Today was 4th anniversary of my eldest Son's death and keeping busy has certainly helped.

Huge, huge hugs keggie - that must be so difficult to bear xxxx

And happy birthday Jjeff, you dark horse you!

Well, an evening of two halves, one good, the other not so good but that can all wait for another day.

Sleep well people and hugs and prayers to those of you who are ill, down and just generally out of sorts xxxxx

Nope, lovely little limpet boy did not let me put him down. And there seemed to be an inordinate number of spillages in this house today, including the remains of a volcano experiment. Littlest One tipped red food colouring / bicarb of soda / vinegar mix all around the conservatory flour, sat in it and splashed about to his heart's content. ...Until ds1 and I found him. I could only be annoyed at myself for leaving said volcano in said room... :o

So all in all, a pitiful amount of headway was made into the official list.
