Tooch, thankyou, they are lovelyarent they? I thought they were a fantastic idea, and i much prefer giving my cash to them :D Been working hard from the sofa me! Getting most of the planning done on the internet thankfully!

Got rid of some bits on ebay recently, and just packaging them up now...however cant locate a flaming adaptor...so jase is sifting through mountins of craft stuff that still hasnt found its way out of the boxes from when we moved... *blush*
However, he has now brought in 5 huge boxes of stuffs that i had forgotten about...so i am going to make that my job this evening! Oh, i also have a lovely two inch gash on the back of my arm from putting away the dishes....thanks to the future hubby...who washed up and put the sharpest knife in the stand wrong way up...and i leaned in...you get the picture! xxx

    Hi all!

Well things didn't go as smoothly as I planned with my resignation letters (I shouldn't really have been surprised about that though really, should I?) - went into head's office, gave her letters, and she told me that she thought that I couldn't be released until 31st May! She said that she thought that 30th April was the date head teachers could leave, but that normal teachers couldn't leave until May! I told her that I'd checked the dates with the union, and she said that I needed to check again and get it in writing! She called HR whilst I was there to check, and they backed her up! So, I went straight back to my classroom, called up the union, who confirmed I was right, and I went back to see her. By this time, she'd talked to the deputy, who thought I may be right. However, ATL's website (one of the unions) had an error on it, so we had to look at my union website (NUT) and deputy printed it all out and it turned out I was right. :T Head called up HR and had a go at them because they were incompetent, and she said that I'll have to wait until she meets with the governors on 4th March to confirm whether they will release me early (16th April - end of Easter hols) or whether I'll have to stay until 2 weeks into the summer term (the governors have to make the decisions - it's not up to her). However, I think they'll probably let me go early cos it'll be easier on the new teacher then too and cheaper for them as they won't have 2 people to pay. Will keep you updated.

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the job juliejim, and hope the observation went well.

Hugs for Jo - glad to hear things seem a bit more positive for your Mum than they had this morning.

    Happy birthday jjef.

    Healthy vibes for neveah.

Hugs to LadyL - hopefully we can be ladies that lunch soon. ;)

Congratulations on your walk rosepink - can we convince you to join one of ours? ;)

Well I've just heard the timer go for dinner, so I'd better get moving.

Happy flying everyone, and thanks for all of the positive thinking and vibes.
