Hi everyone - thought I would be finished early because kitchen was thoroughly cleaned last week - how wrong I was - what a mucky pair we must be. I wore my WW pedometer today (more inspiration from you flyladies, thanks:T) and I clocked up 2000 steps just cleaning kitchen, utility and the dailies. I think I'll join in the pedometer crew to remind me to continue. Meanwhile I think I'll add my WW points in brackets beside the steps - it might shame me publicy to keep to 20 a day. I reckon last week I ate 9 days worth of food.

I needed petrol - it's gone up again and was £111.9 - is it that much where you lot are - for standard unleaded?
cheapest near you will be Shell @ Chiswell Green... it always is...
which dishwasher tabs do you use? I use Ecover and WM which is less than a year old is not washing great even on the hot wash so I want to try a different tab before calling an engineer - any recommendations?
I use both ecover and an eco liquid (can't remember which) and they're fine. I have problems if I load it wrong or don't keep it clean. I suspect it is more tempermental that the older one as the new one uses a lot less water, where as the old one probably just blasted everything with plenty of water!

Hi all.I am flying agian this week. I began in the kitchen early today and only have the floor to do in my squeaky clean kitchen.

Best news for ages here. DH is working on our barn conversion today. First time he has worked in 5 months!! Hopefully it will give him the confidence to go back to paid work eventually.
    That's great news pooh!

Suppose I should get on and do some paid work too :o

Hi everyone, apologies in advance for such a long post. I've been trying to catch up with last weeks thread and it's taking me ages, so sorry if any of this is out of date. Hope all are well today and having a nice day

Sexy glad they took the hairdryer back, how silly that it melted!

FFP glad DS2 came home, I bet you were frantic! What did the head say?

Dora sorry about the cakes and your friend’s ceiling, is she ok? Is there much damage to her house?

Valli I love your Viking village! Well done!

Hugs Frodders, sometimes you just need to shut the world away for a while. Don’t let it go on for too long though, you need a balance between resting and spending time with other people otherwise you won’t get better. I find I don’t always have the resources within myself to start a positive train of thinking and need input from someone else to get me feeling better. Try to spend time with people who care about you and who make you feel more positive, but are undemanding and won’t drain you of emotional energy xx (sorry if this is teaching your grandmother to suck eggs)

Jinky well done on all that hard work! Were you cleaning a new house that you are getting?

Mozzy how lovely to see you!

Hugs Sexy, hope you don’t have any more nightmares now that you’ve resigned xx

Triker thanks for the warning about tax returns, and hugs, I hope your setback doesn’t last too long xx

    Hugs Ceebeeby

Holly you can get into that skirt! You go girl!

Greenbee 100g of veg, is that cooked weight or uncooked weight? I would like to try doing that. will need to get some batteries for kitchen scales.

    Hugs Gotnodosh

Sarah I hope baby is better soon

DH has done his tax return, I added up his incomings and he added up his outgoings, and he phoned them to find out how much he can claim for the pickup he bought in that tax year, and he can claim for all of it, so the result is, he has no tax to pay! Yippee!

I’m incredibly proud of myself today. I was feeling reasonably energetic, and the sun is shining, so I decided to go for a walk. I went with DH when he left for work, and got him to drop me off a reasonable distance from home. When I started walking I got really panicky, but kept going and felt calmer the closer to home I got (which I thought would be the case, which is why I did it that way). It took me half an hour to get back (including a sneaky stop at the corner shop cos I needed a rest!), and it was nearly 3000 steps. I can’t remember the last time I was outside alone for such a long time, or had exercise for such a long time all at once! I was really really shaky when I got home, felt like I was in shock, but now I’ve had a drink, a sit down, and some lunch I feel reasonably ok.

I’ve had the window open all morning to get some fresh air in here, it’s getting a bit chilly now, will go and close it

I'm so rude, I apologise. Completely forgot to thank Pigpen, Toots and Soappie for all your hard work, you do an amazing job.

    My plans for flying today:
    washing up
    tidying sofa for five mins
tidying shelf in bathroom for 2xfive minutes
    put away dry washing

    Afternoon all

    Today's list complete.

I also dampwiped the living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs on the way to the kitchen/diner.

One load of washing done and hung outside. I love writing that.

I was going to tidy out the understairs cupboard again but it really doesn't need it. It's full but genuinely full of stuff we need to keep. The only things I moved were the spade and outside brush which have been in there since the snow so I could clear the path without fighting to get into the shed first. Hope I haven't jinxed things so we get more snow now! Anyway, they are back in the shed now.

Haven't caught up yet, but I hope everyone's OK.

I weigh it uncooked, and if I'm cooking for more than one, I then weigh it onto my plate. As I steam it, most things seem so stay pretty much the same.

Glad you enjoyed your walk. Try to have a productive afternoon, and with a good night's sleep you should get into a routine. I hope you can try the walk again tomorrow morning! The fresh air will have done you lots of good too.

Rosepink - well done - try and keep it up

Well I'm not far off getting a star - just need to sort the table and I also started dismantling the bed, I managed to get all the screws bar 1 off the slats, why is it there is always 1 that won't co-operate, will have to wait for DH as I think I'm rounding the head of the screw now cos its starting to annoy me and I'm getting heavy handed with it. Off to update my list now

    See you all later
