    Right, that's it...I'm done for the day. Well, apart from the obvious childcare, cooking and my evening chores. Haven't quite finished the list, but here's what I've got left:

    Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas
    Level One

    Level Two
    Scrub out the fridge
    Level Three
    Wash windows.. just insides remember.. though you can do outide too if you want to brave the freezingness
    Clear and wipe out one appliance
    Extras
    1. Muck out the oven [STRIKE]and hob[/STRIKE]
    2. Binbag dance
    So, not too bad. I'm trying a new approach this week...to see what I can get done before 12noon. Afternoon tasks include putting my feet up for an hour or so, knitting, sewing, or whatever, or tackling the longer-term jobs, like the spare room declutter. I decided that I could spend my entire day cleaning or I could build in some time for me, and some time for me to create structures and systems to make it easier in the long run.

    Anyway, I'm off for some lunch and some knitting!

    Take care all

    Dusty I am using finish ones at the mo as they were the ones on offer ages ago. I bought loads and loads and loads, reckon at least a years worth! The last lot I bought with DH so they lasted almost 4 years :rotfl: they were a combination of fairy and own brand ones.

  • I needed petrol - it's gone up again and was £111.9 - is it that much where you lot are - for standard unleaded?

    £111 :eek: I knew it was expensive in The South ;)

    hollyh - Please fill in the K form - I think about it every time I see it on your post! Does it have to be done every week? Is it just so awful to fill in that you keep putting it off? (I put off filling in a Council tax benefit form for 2 years - finally did it last Friday:o) Send it to me and I'll fill it in - I'm on a roll now!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:No it's not awful nor does it have to be done every week, i need OH to help me with it and he's always too tired after work. I'll tell him tonight he has to help me because cosmomo said.:D

    We've just decluttered some sweetcorn soup, i'm having a coffee then will be doing a HHC at 12.30 if anyone wants to join me?

    Back from my HB (Hour's Blitz) on the kitchen. I've done OK, but lots to go before I claim my star....

    Dusty: my DW is older than that, but doesn't perform well at all unless I use posh 4-in-one stuff like the Fairy or Persil cubes. Then it's usually OK (unless the balloon whisk gets jammed in the upper rotating arm like this morning... :mad::mad::mad:). I wait till they are on offer - they are horribly expensive when full price - then buy a whole bunch of packets and put them under the sink ready. Can work out at 10p-12p a capsule then, which is comparable to Mr S's own brand (and which were a disaster for my machine). Have you tried cleaning filters, rotating arms and running a cleaning programme recently? (Obvious, I know, but it really helps my machine).

    So I've
    * Emptied the dw, found the upper level was still dirty, and done a huge batch of washing up by hand :mad:
    * Wiped most of the surfaces
    * Cooked an apple and mincemeat plait to empty the fridge a bit
    * Wiped the Aga top
    * Cooked my bread
    * Dismantled and cleaned the Magimix
    and
    * Taken the compost out to the heap/wiped the bin lids.

    Must get back on with the other little jobs, and hope to be done by lunchtime. Loads of paperwork to do later...

    ETA: Starting again at 12:30 for as long as it takes..... Join me anyone?

    Jo - sorry to hear about your mum (((hugs)))

    Didnt fly last week, so didnt see last weeks thread. Hope you're all ok :A

    I spent last week decluttering mine & 3DDs clothes/wardrobes/drawers. Dont know if you remember but I had 3 ironing baskets - 1 for 'current' stuff, 1 full of last summer's clothes and 1 full from summer/winter 08 :eek: which has been lurking in my wardrobe. Had a HUGE sort out, loads of clothes rehomed in charity bags and I feel so much better for it. I just concentrated on 1 persons clothing a day and got there by the end of the week :T I even ironed stuff we were keeping as I went along. I now only own 1 ironing basket (half full) :D:D:D
    I need direction to perfection...
