Morning all! All I've done so far is make the beds but am about to attack the kitchen.

Had a really good chat to DH at the weekend and basically I think I am going to have to try to earn some extra money so busy checking things out right now. Hot favourite so far is to do ironing for people here, but researching it and will do a business plan (DH to help me as I've no idea :o!). Any ideas gratefully received.

Of course this all means I'm not able to flying very much - I will do my best but you probably won't see a lot of me at the moment but sending love and hugs to all xx

    Morning All,

I'm still here, thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie.

Hugs to Jo for you and your Mum and Sis, for Hypno and family, for Triker and your appt and for anyone else who needs one.

Still got kitchen decorating to do so today's list will get done....eventually!

Thumb is looking better but still feeling sensitive. Very cold here so must dash off to keep warm. Have been working this am and sitting still makes for cold hands and feet, flying needed.

    Later x

Cosmomo - how could you mention the coc thing - now it will definitely be on next weeks list! Mind you I don't care i'm on hol for 2 weeks:rotfl:
But surely you will dutifully do all the lists you missed when you get back?!!!:rotfl:

hollyh - Please fill in the K form - I think about it every time I see it on your post! Does it have to be done every week? Is it just so awful to fill in that you keep putting it off? (I put off filling in a Council tax benefit form for 2 years - finally did it last Friday:o) Send it to me and I'll fill it in - I'm on a roll now!

Anyway. Morning all. Loaded WM, unloaded and reloaded DW, decluttered a bacon sandwich and a good gossip at playgroup and now have half an hour to start todays list before picking up DS from playgroup again. Anyone for an HHC?
  • Morning everyone (just). I've made a good start on the kitchen, took forever to declutter and I'm half way round wiping, doing appliances also as they 'really' need doing :o Back later to hopefully cross out a lot :j

I cant concentrate at work, so am reading the thread :D

Ive had a chat with my sister and actually spoken to my mum and she seems fine albeit, very breathless. They think she developed DVT on the way out there and the blood clots have travelled to her lungs. They have said that she is very lucky to have fainted as this has been picked up - has she boarded the plane tomorrow, she more than likely wouldnt have come off again as her lungs wouldnt have coped. They are worried about her heart as she currently has very high blood pressure. They think it may just be that her heart has been working double-time to compensate for her lungs being poor but they want to double check before starting the treatment on her lungs.

My sister, bless her, is an emotional wreck. She is one of these overly-emotional people anyway - so this is just too much for her. After I calmed her down, I sent her off with a to-do list to keep her focussed for the next few days. ;) She needs to sort out the insurance company and take the passports to the hospital. Accomodation will also need to be arranged, but the hospital can help with that. The hospital also provide a social worker to help complete all the relevant paperwork and things like that - so Im glad she has someone with her to keep her on the right track! :)

Am just waiting to hear more news! x
(((hugs))) Jo. My mum broke her back on holiday in NZ a few years ago and the insurance company were great. I'm sure she'll be well looked after, and they'll send her home as soon as it's safe to do so.

Back from Orhto and having lunch.

I needed petrol - it's gone up again and was £1.11.9 - is it that much where you lot are - for standard unleaded?
Someone will be getting a stern PM from me *rolleyes* :p:D I've not heard from the OG for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages, so time to get back in touch - maybe just in time for another Halfterm Challenge

    Penny. x

No not half term, last time I was in Cape Cod, this year I'll be in Czech - make it Easter so I can join in - please? Also the weather will be better so we can do the car clean/garden jobs too :D

Mumoftwo - have you thought of invigilating? Summer exam start after Easter. Contact your secondary school Exam's Officers now as you would need a CRB check in time, good luck x

Going to do a HHC 12:10 and then off to schol

ETA: which dishwasher tabs do you use? I use Ecover and WM which is less than a year old is not washing great even on the hot wash so I want to try a different tab before calling an engineer - any recommendations?
