I suspect my old Ford r reg van was on its third round. It had only done 50 miles when I had it scrapped.
Yes, unfortunately smaller Fords that didn't have digital odometers only read up as far as 99,999-miles as there's only space for 5-digits on them. A pet hate of mine.

Regarding the Polo, sounds okay, and for £400 with a 12-month ticket you can't really go wrong. Assuming it's pastel red in colour, these are notorious for fading over time, as with most red cars that aren't metallic. Same applies to other non-metallic paints, too. VW seem to be one of the worst for this though.

Well I have had this car for ten months, no problems apart from the exhaust falling off. the garage repaired it for £30.

Thanks for the update, money well spent...;)

yes it is blue and the colour has faded quite badly. There are some small rust marks near the windows which seems to be a problem with these vehicles.

  • Not many C reg cars about on the roads these days. :D
  • the car is as old with just some little rust bubbles around the windows! the faded paint can easily be brought back to life with some simple steps that you can get from youtube, you really have had a motoring free vehicle, theres not many cars of that condition anywhere, treat it good and youll find that £400 will increase with appreciation and condition, its a classic look after it.
