Couple of questions, just to revive the whole flea forum! My cat is heavily infested and now so too is the house. They're everywhere and the worst thing is we can see them all over the place. I had a cat and dog for years and never actually saw a flea in the house! So now we're scartched and bitten to bits, we're itchy all the time from seeing them and we've got to get rid as we are going barmy.

So, question 1: How the hell does anyone manage to bath a cat? She completely freaks out whenever water goes anywhere near her. The closest i've been able to get was to chuck a glass of water over her whilst she was scrabbling to get out of the bath. Any tips here would be gratefully received.

Q2: Where can I buy this Spot on Stuff locally? I can't buy over the internet as I have no cards, and just rang the local vet and they only have the prescription stuff, for which I would also hae to pay a consultation fee :-( Can I not just get it from a pet shop?

    Cheers! And Death to Fleas!
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

We used a Bob Martin Flea Bomb to get rid of fleas in the house. We do not have any pets but the neighbours dog did have!!!

You can read about the bombs at:

It's just like a candle, you turn off your smoke alarm, stand the bomb on a plate, light it, leave home for a while, let the smoke waft around your house, extinguish the bomb and reset your smoke alarm.

I have one of those but been told bob martin stuff is useless.

My poor pup has been given fleas by his little friend ben the cat, (yes cat and dog fleas will live on the other but they do prefer their own)

my own fault really as i forgot to update his stronghold.
so got his 3 months stash today and did one, and got a can of Acclaim, upstairs has been sprayed and when i go out this afternoon over to OH once dog is in car i'll spray the rest of the house. *fingers crossed that it works
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
