I received a secure message saying that I would need to download software made by Trusteer called Rapport to help with the security of internet banking.
Does anyone know more about the company and the software? I've looked at the company online and it seems that they are all about protecting keystrokes, malware etc
Does anyone know if you have to download the software? Anyone have a bank account that uses this software, are details used for other purposes etc?

I was given this software by A&L. I downloaded it and have had no problems. You can protect a number of sites where you use your financial and personal details.0 -
I just had the same message from FD. Not available as of yet though.0

I never liked that software. Norton 360 for me. Along with common sense regarding phishing websites/emails.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

When this software goes wrong, it really goes wrong!!
I honestly wouldn't touch it, even if I was paid to use it........
I take it Norton 360 gave you/allowed a virus to install on your computer then?
I've had my share in the past, trojan, worm virus and what not. Before Norton that is.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

No but it interferes too much with things that it shouldn't. Blocking network traffic that should be allowed, even when the exception for that traffic is allowed.
Then when you try and rectify it or remove it, you have to go through a load of hassle and problems to do so.
It speaks for itself when Symantec themselves have to write a removal tool that you download to get it off your system properly.
Absolute joke of an application in my opinion.0 -
The only decent Norton has two wheels ;-)0
