Gooooood Saturday morning all
Looks like everybody has lots on today - land of Mancunia is covered in frost this morning which I hope clears up soon. Got lots to do today.
Am off to do the weekly shop but instead of going to the supermarket and getting everything there, I'm going to try the local butchers and veg shop to see if I can make any savings so fingers crossed!
Also need to finish the declutter in DD room and start on my weekly tasks.
Have a great day everyone!:j

:hello: Good Morning!
Off out today on a first aid course organised by our Church for youth workers. Been meaning to update my first aid for a while and it's free and includes lunch, just hope I can cope with the longish day!
Dh is going to catch up with my ironing while I'm out!:A I guessing that means there is rugby on the telly!
Dinner tonight will be something easy, possibly tuna spaghetti! This is one meal that dh can make, if he has too!:D
(((hugs))) if you need them!
Best get going as I'm being picked up soon!

Sunny but cold here this morning, and without snow luckily. Actually the snow wasn't too bad here as we had plenty of supplies in, but the extra food that ds and his friends managed to eat that week was shocking :rotfl:I had three for lunch and five for snacks one afternoon and should have only been making a packed lunch for one.
My friend is coming in a while to help me clear out the back bedroom which will be turned into a bathroom next week. It's mostly carrying junk up a couple of flights of stairs and putting it away in the real junk room. He is bringing a grandchild to help with the carrying of junk, and a grandchild to play with the house elf and keep him busy while we work.
I put the elf to bed at 8pm last night (we went out with Paul's ex boss and then back to my friends for some birthday cake). I gave him half a spoonful of piriton and he was up at 4:30am, so I think I can cross that potential remedy off the list. Surely 8 1/2 hours sleep can't be enough for a 5 year old? Would any early risers like to borrow him for company?
Take care all of you0 -

Morning all................(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need one.
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRR its cold OH says its minus 2 outside, the sun is shining though.
NO PACKING TODAY, its all done bar the very last minute stuff which will get shoved in a box.
Last night I went through the freezer have enough in there to feed us next week, need some veg, we have to go into Haddington on Wednesday morning so will call at Aldi.......
DS2 coming this morning with the children to see nana before we go off to the wastes of the north. He is having problems with 2nd GD's mother over access, she keeps moving the goal posts. I think she is a control freak as well as having a cocaine habit. DS did not know about the cocaine until he caught her with 2 friends last year. He would get custody if he went to court, but would not be able to work which would drive him nuts very quickly. He is a big boy now and can deal with life.....I can only advise him, what he actually does is up to him.
When DS and the childlren have gone I am off to collect my friend and go down to deliver the fiddle bed machine.......not taking my credit card, then I cannot spend on it, that my reasoning and I am sticking to it!!
Its fun in our house just now, everywhere we go there are boxes, I can only just get into the bathroom and our bedroom, the living room also has boxes in various corners as for the kitchen, just do not go there.....hopefullt the removers will take the boxes out before they start moving the furniture........I need to go round after them and hoover carpets etc......at least the place is cleaner than when we came in.
The chap for the agents came late yesterday to out up the to let signs one at the front the other at the back.
Offsky for a coffee........might be back later.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Good morning guys,
It's a beautiful day today but Freezing cold. Bbbrrrrr!!Hugs to everyone today as it sounds as if you could all do with one, xxxxx.
to the minder! - well done. xx
Going to town a little later on as superglue is no longer holding LO's school shoes together :eek:and I am ashamed of DD's shoes so it's a case of needs must. DS1 can swap some of his PS2 games at the market while we are there and I will see if the meat man has any offers today. I have plenty of chicken and bacon in the freezer but no other meat. I pulled the last of the pork out last night and it is currently in the SC with loads of veggies and should be gorgeous by tea time.
DD wants to make rice crispie cakes this afternoon and while the oven is on I think we will make some cakes. there is a pile of ironing for tonight so I will [STRIKE]watch[/STRIKE] LOL I meant see too that while catching up with this week's silent witness. The usual clean through too and the bedrooms need blitzing but that can be done tomorrow.
Katiesmummy - I'm on my own with 3 and working part time, I've found the only way for me is to be ultra organized the night before. Everything is prepared even down to water in the kettle and a spoonful of coffee in the cup LOL. The only OS done on those 3 days is a clean through when the kids have gone to bed, keep up with the washing and the SC (Lifesaver - esp in this cold weather) gets prepped the night before if I'm using it or leftovers are pulled and left defrosting with spuds or veggies prepped ready. I do this as the kids would be eating cereal otherwise as I just get too tired to start from scratch after work.
Cranky - DS1 wakes at six each and every morning and if I'm not awake he wakes the other two to keep him company  however I suspect that there is only a few more years of it before I will be unable to get him out of his pit in the morning!! No real ideas on keeping elf asleep though - sorry. xxxx
Pen-pin - how are you hun? thinking of you. xxx
Wll time to get the tribe organized and get out, have a good one peeps.

Morning everyone.
Sorry not caught up with yesterdays thread, was out last night for a drink with an old friend. She's having a tough time of it of late and I don't see her very often so it was nice to have a quick catch up for a couple of hours. Kids were both in bed when I got back so result :T Sadly DS was up at 5.15 saying he wanted to go downstairs  H let me have a lie in thankfully although I now feel bone idle - lie in's always do this to me.
My Benefit Cookbook came today so will try and have a nose at that. No biccies in the house so need to do some baking. Not sure about tea, might make a pizza......
Hester - I gather you H got the job :T Well done to him. And slow down with the "celebrating" next time:rotfl:
Cranky - No advice as I have the same problem. Neither of my kids sleep in or catch up on missed sleep. You have my sympathies and a hope that this is a phase that will pass (preferably before they are 18).
Right I'd better get on. Not had a shower yet
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
