    Hi Barbara here ! :D

I saw your siggy on GG's thread and thought wow have I read that right? After another sip of wine and looking through my better eye I saw £6k. How exciting to be so near to the end. Your daily interest must be so low !

I'll look forward to reading your ramblings :)

    Hello,

Time for some more rambings :D

I have updated sig for when mortgage goes out on Monday.

Now down to £5750 and yes Iris, Barbara or whoever you really are the figure is correct, even after several sips of wine. Roll on the champers when its all gone.

    Hi GG

Yes, I did pass on your details, unfortunately you are not rich enough for them to warrant contacting you :rotfl:

Foiled again... .... am going to have to do this all by myself :(
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Hi

Question for you all whilst I am waiting for an official answer.

If I were to pay off my mortgage using a 0% credit card. Would the payment be classed as a purchase or a cash advance?

Thanks and have a lovely day.

Not 100% sure there, but i thought if you paid bills on the CC it did class it as an advanced purchase. Then again, i have been paying my council tax with CC as you don't get charged for doing it and we hang onto it for a bit longer. I haven't been charged for that.

Might be also worth asking if the bank would let you pay the mortgage off this way.

Think it depends on the card. some allow transfers to bank accounts, if yours does then do that and pay your mortgage with debit card. I yours doesn't it will probably be classed as a purchase. Can you get a 6 month 0% on purchases card??

  • Afternoon all.
What lovely weather we are having.

Yesterday in a moment of madness I decided to ring the B/S to get a redemption figure for our mortgage as the Britannia are not online and haven't had a statement since 31/12/10. The figure quoted was £5600. I have saved up nearly 4K so am only £1600 short (only haha) so i am on target to be mortgage free towards the end of this year.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend :D
