lloyds tsb credit card is it instant decision?

Does anyone knows how long does it take to get a decision if you're not LLOY current account holder?

I've applied early January. They've sent me a letter like 2 weeks later asking for proof of ID.. then 3 weeks later another one asking for a proof of address... and still no decision.

It's has been around 40 days since I've applied!!? Why are they sooo sloooooow ?

Have you called them to ask? I'd say it is definitely taking unusually long in you case!

I got the card after 50 (fifty) days!

Now what?

How long till I get my airmiles number? More importantly, how long till I get my airmiles vouchers ?

With my luck, it'll probably be in time for Christmas.

50 days!? Wow, you're patient! Was it atleast a good limit / APR offered in the end?

Typical APR and £3k limit. It's more than I need. I was mainly after airmiles voucher - won't be using the card apart from £10 spend to get the freebies

They were not too demanding, just veeery slow!

After I got my lloyds card.. i got my airmiles number quite soon after I got my first credit card statement... but if you go on the airmiles site you could probably phone up and request it.. as they already have your details from the credit card application!

no idea about the voucher.. somehow I missed that you could get it if you applied through the airmiles site and went direct through my bank! doh! oh well at least I didn't get turned down like most places (unemployed student till august) .. i'll earm my airmiles slowly I think!

I didn't get a credit check, it must have been offered to me solely on my account conduct :j

Best bet with Lloyds is to wait until they offer you the credit card in 'My Offers' and once they do, grab it with both hands :rotfl:

Don't think they are an easy to get card unless you bank with them and/or have a very good credit history.

If there are any offers they normally appear on the same page underneath your accounts.
