I deleted it because I realised it was wrong, but there really is no need
I think there is a need actually. We get threads on here where people are quite distraught that they have been suspended but need to use ebay to raise money for whatever, they often have been blatantly breaking rules and claim they never knew it was wrong. If we say enough times on here what is not allowed maybe we can save some of those people from all sorts of problems later on.
Was there really a need though to ask if you could shill bid on an already lengthy thread explaining why shill bidding was wrong and why it should not be attempted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Not everyone is as experienced in rules and lingo, saying "you or friends are not allowed to bid on an item to increase the price" would have been heplful and a much nicer way to act0 -

My point was though that you asked your question directly below other posts stating why shill bidding was a bad idea, this was not a standalone question, you sought out this thread and asked the same question that was already being discussed.
I agree that no question is a stupid one, I ask enough of those over on the techie board, but why post it on this thread where you already had your answer directly above your post?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think it's different winning your own product, and bidding on something with no intention of being hightest bidder.
My point was either offer something helpful or ignore the post, theres no need to be rude. that was all, i'll leave it at that0 -

Everyone makes mistakes mr perfect.
You asked for advice, didn't like what you heard from people who pointed out the rules of ebay to you, and are now being rude towards people who dared to reply to your post?
Whether an auction has 1 day, 3 days or 10 days it's your responsability to check the listing over before submitting it.
If you don't want people to question what you've done and how you've done it then don't break ebays rules and expect people here to tell you it's ok to do so..•
