    Hello all,

Spent £296.58 last month so aiming at £280.00 for this month, I work on a 4 week basis so my month will start today 31st Jan and finish 28th Feb

    So Far, £70.29

    Co-op £22.40
    Sainsbury £42.86

    £135.55

So a quick estimate, I've got another 2 weekly shops to do at approx £50.00 each, plus I tend to spend another £20.00 during the week, so another £140'ish = £275.00 its looking abit tight

    Hi everyone :hello:

Another £13.98 spent today. Going to need to rein in at some point as over halfway through the budget and still 3 weeks left to go!

    Must. Try. Harder. :o

FlatEric _ I think it depends on your local store, I will NOT use Mr T for similar reasons. I do not want dented tins or short dated veg. Around here Mr A/S are fine by comparison but I have a problem on every T order and would rather pay a Co-op/Farm shop premium.

    Hi all

Congratulations Ragz... love the name Abigail.

Had some good news last night as Waitrose have asked me to stay on as a permanent "partner". :j:j:j Also got my discount card from them but I must admit I don't normally do my main shop there.

    Have a good weekend.

Well had to send DH and DD out for emergency shop as I had a day at UNI and we'd agreed on a treat type meal - big mistake! One meal and extras came to £32:eek: Worse still there's no alcohol.

So it looks like a frugal week now:sad:

  • Well I went to Mr S yesterday with the intention of just getting milk but ended up spending £13.87! What's worse is the reason we went there was so OH could get a passport photo done for his drivers licence which needs renewing but the photo booth thing wouldn't accept the note so we need to go back today now we have change and I need bread so will have to venture inside the store. I hope I can restrain myself from buying anything unnecessary.

The £13.87 was on milk, olive oil, mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, ham, edam cheese and paracetamol. When written down it really doesn't look like much for what I've spent! As you can probably tell from that list of ingredients I'm making pizzas nom nom. Should be able to make 8 from that so I suppose it's not as bad considering we would spend £10 on 2 on a take away. But I've vowed to just make them now, they're much nicer!

Have loads of eggs in too so might make some cakes today as well :)
Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Got married to my lovely hubby on 12/11/2011 :D

    Morning - just updating yesterday's Mr T's spends... £47!!!
Much more than I wanted to spend but there's no point in crying over it now!
I will have to convince OH that fish kebabs, king prawns and expensive salad is too expensive for our budget at the moment. I have been trying to cut back in other areas to compensate as I don't want him to suffer for me giving up my job to retrain as a teacher but its getting more difficult. I'm sure he won't mind (he's usually very easygoing) but it makes me feel guilty as it was my decision (supported by him) to resign. I do get a bursary etc but its half of what I used to earn.... hmmmmm

    Hi

Well did some planning and went shopping to Tesco & M&S yesterday and spent a total of £150.59 but I have more than enough for 2 weeks food so should hit my target this month. I just don't know how people spend so little on food. The downside for me is living on the Isle of Man and having very limited choice (and generally food is more expensive here!)!! I miss Morrisons, ASDA, Aldi etc for the bargins!!
