hi all, why is it the less you want to spend the more you do !! Already halfway through budget.

Spent £3.85 on bread, milk and a few other bits I needed. I am not going anywhere near any shops this weekend so hopefully I will have a couple of nsd's.

Tomorrow I am going to sit down and meal plan for next week ... and stick to it.

Done weekly shop today between Aldi (£18.44) and Asda where Felix AGAIL (cats' favourite) was on offer (£40.85). So far this week and this month have spent £89.52, but just tallied up where it has gone, and £44.31 has gone on the cats so far. :eek:Just under half. I'm astounded although I have done quite a bit of stocking up on catfood when I have seen it on offer.

    Still surprised though

  • Evening all,

    CONGRATS RAGZ!!:j

Day off today so had pub lunch with friend and a walk round town, (well a stroll and a waddle-me pushing a heavy buggy and my friend carrying an 8 month pregnant tummy lol) went to the market to see what bargains i could grab off the fruit and veg lady as was after 4pm so nearly closing and she ended up practically throwing stuff at me! Ended up having big bunch of bananas, two punnets of plums and two bags of apples for about £2.40, didnt need any more apples but she was so desperate to get rid i had to relieve her of them :o rather than see them go to waste.

Then i walked over to Mr A for a whoopsie hunt-not much i fancied but got dh a pack of extra special burrgers with mature cheddar-very nice but too heavy on the tummy for me, he will have them tommorow when im at work. I got in Mr A

    juice £1.08
    egg slicer 10p
    magazine 80p
    magazine 68p
2x tuns of sardines in BBQ sauce £1
bodyspray 86p (damn thought id picked up a 48p one:mad:)
    burgers £1.60
John West reserve red wild alaskan salmon tin £1.50, on offer, i adore this but too expensive for regular shop
    loo rolls 48p

    total £8.12

so not necessities but im allowed the odd treat!

I'll update sig. Have 14 hr shift at work tommorow-lucky me-so a definate NSD:)

    Good night all x
  • Hi All
    Congratulations Ragz

Had today off today and on the way to visit my Mum I had a first trip to Aldi. Plan to go again. I was pleased with some of the bargins I got. Milk £1.09 instead of £1.53 I pay in MrT's. 5KG potatoes for 69p, 3 peppers for 99p normally pay about 70p each. Large pack of mushrooms £1.29, Broccoli 350g on offer for 49p. If anyones after small chocolate eggs £1.29 or hollow easter rabbits 59p they have plenty of easter bits in. Got 2 pots of their magic anti wrinkle cream so hopefully will look 20 years younger by next Friday.:rotfl:

  • hi all

hoped for a NSD today but then remember i needed squash so asked the OH to call in morrisons, he managed to spend £10

That was an expensive bottle of squash!!! I've got an OH like that too.... we went to Morrisons today for a loaf of bread and some tomatoes: came out with a CD, a DVD, a baby feeder cup, magazine, 2 tins rice pudding, hot cross buns, 2 loaves, coleslaw, cream crackers, a seed starter kit and the tomatoes! (To be fair, the CD was £2 and the DVD was £1). Total was £10.60 so not too bad, but still more than a pack of tomatoes and a loaf of bread.
