Hello all, did very well last month and I'm being smug (I don't smash my target very often!)
However, new month new target! So I'm looking at
£300 for February please!
Thanks all board managers:j0 -
Finally got a few whoopsies in MrW where I've been working.... Got a one litre bottle of ORGANIC POSH FRESH CLOUDY APPLE JUICE THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE £2.56 :eek:  FOR 59P ! (Who pays those ridiculous prices?) Well at breakfast this morning DS16 said it was really nice Q " It tastes like....(scratches his sleepy head and thinks for a few seconds)......" apple ":rotfl::rotfl:TBH it tastes so much better than the cheap stuff I normally buy, so this was a real treat and you really could taste fresh apple!Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
Sealed Pot Challenge 416 - target £5000 -
Been to Asda this evening, didn't need anything really but thought I'd get some of the cathedral city while I had DD with me and her discount card, got some lurpack spreadable as well.
Woopsies had been ransacked but did manage to get a couple of sausage rolls for 5p each, a portion of a chinese duck meal for 20p and a pack of breaded chicken fillets for 20p.
Spent £6.75 and have really hit the budget hard, will have to cut back or it will be my worst month ever.
Well it is Friday tomorrow so I will have the weekend to bake so that we don't buy snacks.0 -
Hi everyone, hope all your challenges are going well. I just wanted to pick your brains about the grocery challenge, i have a small dilemma!
My boss gave me £150 of vouchers for our local farm shop for Christmas (possibly the best present I got!) and we are going at the weekend to do a big stock up, then to Lidl for the usual bits and bobs. Would any of you include this in your grocery challenge spends, or look upon it as an added bonus?
We will be buying some of the stuff at the farm shop that we normally get cheaper elsewhere (such as meat, cheese etc - its not the cheapest farm shop but lovely food) and some extra treats - so I'm thinking this will totally blow my budget if I include it in my challenge?! But if I dont include it in my challenge I'll feel like I'm cheating! We dont have to spend the whole lot at once so I might try and spread it out over a few months.
Its lovely to have a nice dilemma for once, rather than working out which credit cards I need to pay first!nov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.
Me, 10 yo dd, and the dog. all food and drinks, in and out, plus household shopping.0 -
Yes please. I was lurking in January, and seeing how much I spent. It was £135 including some (but not all) toiletries, but I also spent nearly £90 in restaurants and take aways. I have joined the 'take your lunch to work challenge', and £30 of my spend was lunches at work. Please put me down for £120 for February to include all groceries and toiletries.0
