Hi all.
Spent an annoying £12.19 today on 3 pizzas for £5, reduced bread, oats, apples, mandarins, on offer golden syrup (in case I get the baking bug) and ice cream (I am eating a bowlful now - love ice cream!)
Now I'm rechecking the receipts thinking I must have got more than that for £12 but no.
I need to have a few days of using up, not stocking up - I've spent over £140 in 4 days!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -

Hi all
had NSD's on Monday, Wednesday and today. Had my tesco delivery on Tuesday night which came to £31.03 so hopefully that will be me for this week.
Congratulations Ragz and Mr Ragz on the birth of baby Abigail:j0 -
Today was supposed to be a NSD but it all went the way of the pear
. I went for a follow-up appointment at the hospital, waited an hour and a half, consultant saw me for 25 seconds and said all fine, so seeing as I'd wasted half my afternoon anyway, I thought I'd go to Aldi and get a few seeds and maybe a couple of leeks. Then DH phoned to ask if I'd get him a sandwich to take on the coach tomorrow, plus they had loads of fruit and veg all so cheap  plus spreadable butter and chicken all reduced - anyway the long and the short of it is I ended up spending £11.27.
Still, seeing as I have been in the habit of spending £80+ per week, things are still doing ok!

I was supposed to have a NSD today too! It also 'went the way of the pear'. To the tune of £14.66, which I'm really quite annoyed about. I've been promising dd for ages that i'd get her some quality street - we had a massive tub at christmas and it clearly wasn't enough for her! She went to her first school disco today, and did NOT like it, so i thought i'd get the qs to cheer her up. £3.something. However, ds, 3 years old decided to run ahead of me and hide. Not happy, got into Asda, still couldn't see him, ended up with three asda workers and 2 security guards looking for him. after the longest 3 minutes of my life, he came out of the store with an asda person - he'd wanted to go up and down in the lift, so called it!! Hence, i was so relieved to have him back (and firmly strapped into a trolley) that i shoved a load of chocolate and fudge into my trolley too. Still, at least i have both my children!!!!!!! Love 'em to bits!
Added to signature, may struggle towards the end of the month, but we'll see!

Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
Hi folks,
Just popped out to do weekly shop. I'm sure everyone from MSE is there at 7.30pm-there is always a frisson of excitement in the air as the boy appears with the pricing gun (myself included of course!)
Spent £40.18 but have deducted £9 as I bought my DD a coat for her birthday! It was £59 but I used a coupon stash to bring it down.
My best bargains were:
4 x avocados for 20p
1 x bag salad spuds for 20p
Not much else really, the shelves had been cleared!!
Will have to space out the next shopping trip to s-p-r-e-a-d the cash!
SFG x0
