    Hi all.

Spent £6.75 today on milk, potatoes, bread, apples, bananas and leeks. The leeks and potatoes were for a lamb stew which I've now decided not to do until tomorrow - good meal planning there - nevermind, I won't need to buy so much tomorrow!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

Shopping today came to £65.34 in the supermarket then another £14 on a massive piece of gammon from the market so a total of £79.34 added to the budget. The gammon was more than I'd usually pay but will do us for Sunday lunch this week, a potato layer bake mid week and there'll be some left for the freezer to use later :)

Off to start the prep for tea now & it's nice & easy too. Whoopsied quiche with carrot, peanut & sultana salad for DH & I and beans & poached eggs on toast for the kids as they think quiche is the devils food :rotfl:

Still playing with my Mr T online order, I have changed it once today already...can see another alteration later! Delivery will be tomorrow, so will add in cost once it arrives and I sign for it.

Right, bread is proving, so back to shredding the orange peel for marmalade...lovely smell in the kitchen atm!!

  • I estimated my grocery bill this week at £36. It came to £42, but that did include unscheduled buys of: three large packs of minced steak £10, for batch cooking :D an extra jar of Fair Trade coffee, (on offer) three tins of salmon (Buy one - get two free) .
So a great shopping trip that should last us for a little longer than usual:j

Ooh - and my free sachets of yeast came in the post this morning:T
