Yay for The Minder :T:T:T Aww, HH I bet he's so chuffed!

I'm too tired to do any OS so I haven't been posting. I'm too tired to do anything at all. Last night I fell asleep at 11pm, house elf woke me at 12:30am, house elf finally fell asleep at 3am, I fell asleep approximately 4:55am, house elf woke for the day at 5am.

Despite being awake all that time last night, I have only just put him to bed, and I've given him half a spoonful of piriton as a safety measure (his own safety). I can count the number of times I have done this on the fingers of one hand and he is 5 now, but if he doesn't sleep tonight I will be rehoming him.

My husbands boss from his last ship took us for a McDonalds tonight. I don't usually like McDonalds, but all I could think tonight is thank goodness I didn't have to make any dinner. See what I mean about no OS.

    Take care all of you

    Afternoon all
Hugs to DIVA, PIPKIN , SMOKEY, TAPLADYS OH
We only had 2 or 3 minutes of snow here BB.
Well all the good wishes & crossed fingers must have worked, HUBBY GOT THE JOB, WOOHOO, sorry for shouting, but we're so excited. He came to work to meet me, gave the lady who helped him with his CV a plant & got a standing ovation from the office staff, then found out the cufflinks he borrowed cost £400, good job he didn't know while he was wearing them.
We were going to go for a Carvery tonight to celebrate, but in the end the excitement was too much & we celebrated for free, probably TMI, lol.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Oh Brillpad Hester I am so pleased, now perhaps I can uncross my legs, toes and fingers!!!! Do give the minder a big hug from me........

Apart from the glass and china, just a few last minute bits remain to be packed. DS 2 came today and has dosmantled the wardrobe and taken down various other bits for us. He is coming to Feb 19th to put the wardrobe back together again and do various other bits for me.

Fish and chips for supper tonight, banana custard for dessert. I am not crackered, sending tonight under a fleece on the settee. Tomorrow DS2 is bringing the 3 cihildren over to see us before we disappear North. After lunch I am taking a friend and going down to donate my antique fiddle bed sewing machine to a quilting shop. I have to keep the padlock on my purse. I have enough fabric to sink a ship. Not buying anymore till I have used up what I have.

This week has been quite stressful in some ways but we have come through it. I think the lowest point was the night I needed to get up to the loo and had to climb over a pile of boxes to get to the toilet!! This time next week we will be gradually unpacking, as long as I have a saucepan, somewhere to sleep and something to sit on I will be fine. We can unpack at out leisure.

Apart from putting the wardrobe together DS2 will be putting a wall of shelves up in the kitchen........I am sure I will find plenty of other things for him to do, but for now we have two days of ?peace......the agents have been today and put a To let notice up at the front and back.

    Yay!!!! fantastic news Hester :j:j:T:T:D:D
I`m so pleased for both of you!

Bloomin freezin here tonight, DH has just got back in with the houndies and he said that the fishing pond is half frozen over again in the park, poor ducks. I shall take some bits and bobs out to feed them in the morning.

Upstairs has been scrubbed and we have run a few errands so lots accomplished today. I`m just finishing off a batch of pate for the freezer and then we shall have a late tea of steak and kidney pie, wedges and peas and i can settle down to watch the second half of the silent witness that was on last night. This is the best one i`ve seen yet, last night i nearly jumped through the roof at one point

Offski to the kitchen - i WILL be sat down by 9pm :D

    Happy evenings peeps.

    Hi all,

Back from a nice 3 day break, enjoyed it very much, especially as hotel cost came as a Christmas gift...we did have a bottle of wine or three, and a back massage each, but OH paid so that was ok. Also found a woollen mills where I spent a little money.....

Haven't caught up with the days I have missed yet, Pipkin...hugs.

Hester....about time you two had a bit of good luck, delighted to hear that you are not throwing away your money either!

Cranky....sorry to hear that you are down, hugs to you.

    Wecome to newbies...its nice here.

Taplady and sistercas....hope that the OHs are better soon.

We had a big breakfast to-day so just had a 'whatever's in the fridge' meal this evening...didn't want to cook but neither did I want to spend money.

Very cold here this evening, we have had a snow shower which seems to have stayed around.....please God, no!!

Hugs to all in need whom I have missed, keep warm and sleep well

    Marie
