Morning everyone.
Am most definately wearing my grumpy trousers today. Been up since 3am with DD. DS slept through but is acting tired and currently throwing a paddy upstairs in his bedroom  How gutted was I when I fired up the 'puter to pass the wee small hours away to discover the forums were shut
Not much OS going on today. Might do some baking with the kids and mindee as it's cold, wet and very dull here although having said that I can see a bit of blue sky but it's windy so still blinkin' cold brrrrrrrr.
Pipkin - sorry hospital appointment wasn't so good for you yesterday xx
Hugs to anyone else that needs them. Better dash. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning everyone-
Just a quick pop in to see how everybody is, bit of a list today so need to get a move on . . . .
Hester- keeping fingers crossed for OH, hope it goes well!
Really want an 'offline weekend' - does a mind good every so often plus will give my online 'stalker' (for want of a better word) some time off too :rotfl: Then again maybe not, may be sooo obsessed that they'll keep checking in anyhow.
They keep mentioning snow showers for us for the weekend, how often are they right tho?
Have a good weekend & I'll 'see' you next week!0 -
Kadeeae I sometimes have an offline weekend & agree it's nice. I also get a lot more done as well
Enjoy yours and hope that you remain stalker free

Morning all
We have odd weather here, it was gloriously sunny at 9am but now it's pouring down! I had to take my work minibus in to be serviced, so my colleague met me there and brought us back to the office. Only just got back so it was a good way to waste the first 90 mins of the day!
DW went on overnight. I had lots of strange dreams last night, so inbetween one I woke up and put it on as it doesn't have a timer. Didn't have time to unload it though this morning so will need to do that when I get home.
My mum and brother are coming for dinner tonight, my first proper dinner in my flat for peopleMost of veg is prepped along with pots so just need to cook when I get in. I'm not very good with timings so fingers crossed it's all ready on time! Flat is spotless and I've extended out the table ready, and put on the runner and placemats!
I also need to pack for London this weekend. I have everything laid out ready but can't decide between small wheelie suitcase or overnight bag I'll have to carry. I've got an almost 5 hour coach journey there so will need to pack a few books too!
Have a good day all

Good morning everyone,
It's snowing up here, but hopefully it won't be here for long!
Diva I hope your "stuff" is getting sorted, and you're keeping your chin up. We miss you, come back soon!
Zippychick Are you hiding from me again?
Hester and Sistercas I hope things are OK for both your OH's, for different reasons!
Bitsy, I saw this and thought of your DS! (oops smilies not working!)
Well, have had a lovely lazy morning, just about to go and have a shower, and get to w*rk. Am off out tonight for a quick drink with my team as a kind of goodbye as I'm changing shifts on Monday, and going into a new team. Not much drink for me, though, as I'm not really a drinker!
Have a lovely day, whether OS or not, and Hugs to all the poorlies or worried.

Hi everyone,
NPM I totally agree with you about the cake - a few weeks ago a doctor was saying to ban butter because eating it on toast made children fat. What a load of rubbish, no mention of all the processed food with added fat and crisps, sugary drinks and sweets, not to mention the lack of exercise, which is probably the main cause. Sorry, rant over - it just makes me cross.
Hester, I hope DH gets the job.
Not a lot happening here. DD is in Brisbane now, she'll have been away 2 months in another week, only 4 more to go.
We've been asked to entertain American visitors in the spring so that will give us the incentive to finish off the decorationg in the two rooms that still need it. We'll get started this weekend.0 -
Morning
Sunny again here today very cold though.
Got loads to do today, including the dreaded *ironing*
1 load of washing to do, vac round, dust, clean bathroom, sweep drive and down side, and car could do with cleaning, then finish the emulsion off in the hall (when I've finally made my mind up on the colour)
Looks like my time on here will short today
Had porridge for brekkie
Lunch will be ham sandwich
Dinner not really decided yet probably roast chicken and veg, then fruit.
Very boring menu today
Kadeeae - could you ask the board guide if you can change your name on here, and it would get rid of your stalker. I know they do it sometimes and you have a good reason with a "stalker"
Diva - gentle(((hugs)))for you
jackieglasgow - snow brrrr hope it does'nt go on too long
Bitsy - hope your day gets better:)
Pipkin - (((hugs)))
Sistercas - hope your OH picks up a bit later
Have good days all
Anne

Hi everyone, Not been very OS lately, a few problems going on, but I feel really excited today because I have finally got some washing outside blowing in the sun and I got some dry yesterday as well. I'm easily pleased but I love washing dried outside.
Not much happening at the moment although I must find some energy from somewhere and get some housework done. Just managing to keep tidy at the moment. I am going to bake some dog biscuits later and our dinner will be steak pie (DH's favourite) from M&S, we have been enjoying the 3 for £10 offer they have had recently. We had a huge shoulder of lamb earlier in the week.
I have been trying to start knitting again, I used to do loads but my arthritic hands don't like doing it now but I will keep trying. I'm going to be a step granny later this year so I must at least make booties.
Kind thoughts and well wishes to anyone who is ill or sad or worried.0 -
Morning all,
Hugs to all who need them
And also positive thoughts to all,
Just a quick read through this morning as I have job interview this afternoon
Could I just ask please MRSMW for the receipe for dog biscuits would love to have a go at those.
ok off to finish the ironing before my shower - dont laugh but Im trying to get the house tidy and straight before I begin following flaylady next week :rotfl::rotfl:
will pop back on later to catch up with everyone.
bye for now0 -
Hi all, just popping in quickly before going to fetch DS from pre-school. I am really hoping he doesn't have a huge temper tantrum today like he did yesterday - it was shocking . Don't you just love 3 year olds
.
Made my first batch of yogurt with the EasiYo yesterday but didn't use their powders - used 2 tbsp milk powder, 2 tbsp live yogurt and 1 litre UHT milk but it came out runny - has anyone got any ideas why this would be? I have posted on the EasiYo thread but no-one got back to me as yet.
I'm thinking I may make another loaf of bread with DS this afternoon and possibly do some muffins and a lemon meringue pie too (DH's favourite!). Cooking is such a nice way to spend the time on a horrid grey and wet day like today.
I hope that you are all keeping well and Diva, I hope that you are OK honey. We miss you and I'm sending you a cyber hug as I can't do a real one from here!
Best go, see you laterFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
