    Hello everyone

Hope you're all doing fine for a Friday? There's some snow here but not too much and it's turned pretty cold with the wind coming from the North.

Had a busy night last night, made a big pan of soup (over six litres of it) and did some home baking too. Also made some chilli that will do us over the next couple of evenings.

Mumof2 - I have an EasyYo too and use it quite often, but mainly with the sachets. Made my own yogurt with Soyamilk a few weeks back but it was really runny too. I'd be inclined to use less milk till you get the consistency that you're looking for.

Have a good weekend folks - I'll go and catch up with the rest of the thread now!

  • Hello to the newbies! We like a new “face” to chat to!
Casrina – call me crazy, but all this talk of packing and sorting and organising is making me itch to pack myself! Shame we (a) don’t have our house on the market or (b) have any money to move! I love packing.
Flutterby – I would DEFINITELY go with the wheely-suitcase. The other one sounds like it might be dangerous. All that carrying is bad for your health!
And what is all this lunch-box inspecting / cake banning etc? I don’t have kids but it still drives me mad. I’m all for educating people about healthy eating but this seems a bit heavy-handed to me…
I’ve been a bit hit and miss with my posting lately. Shockin! Life is good for us at the moment (touch wood!). The sky is blue, the ironing pile is gone, both of our bank accounts are in the black, and puppy-dog has finally had his stitches out so he can tire himself out with a good run. He went to work with OH on Wednesday and had a fabulous time!
All of my baking has been consumed, so I think I shall make some chelsea buns either today or tomorrow. The last lot weren’t great as I didn’t have anywhere warm enough to let the dough rise, so this time I shall be putting the heating on nice and high for an hour or so!
Flylady Date Night today, so pizza followed by a DVD on the sofa for me and OH. I snuck a list of 70 romantic ideas (everything from star gazing to going through old photos) into OH’s lunch bag today, along with a pen and a note telling him to highlight the ideas he likes the sound of. He’ll enjoy doing that.

The weekend will probably consist of lots of tidying up, hopefully interspersed with some card-making. Oh, and possibly a trip to buy a new matress (ours is VERY old and VERY uncomfortable!). And OH saw an advert by a certain high-street chain, advertising £50 gift cards if you buy a certain well-known brand of vacuum cleaner. We’ve been toying with getting one anyway so we might take the leap and go for it!
    Hugs to all,
    Gxx

Talking of lunch boxes :p, my DD1's schools lunchbox police regulaly checks (as is physically looks at each item) lunch boxes, then you get a chart to say what food groups you have covered . DD1 now has school dinners i hasten to add :D

Well DD1 & 2 are at MIL :T, DS is in bed so i have just had a slice of me time, a 45min bath :T, without any background noise, no "mum", "mum can i have a drink", mum i need a poo" etc etc ;)

I've made sticky ginger cake and a fruit cake, I gave MIL 1/2 the ginger cake ;).

Pigeons fed and watered , Just going to flop of sofa now ;)

    Afternoon all

Goodness where has this week gone. Not sure when I last posted as all the days this week seem to have run together. ((((Hugs)))) to anyone who needs or wants them and Diva hope things are OK with you.

Hope you are enjoying your visit Aussie!

Right this must be a flying visit as I must figure out what I am going to do for tea, not very organised in that regard today. Will try and get round to doing some knitting tonight (They give us homework to do at my knitting class) I am still quite slow but am understanding simple patterns a bit better now so I have high hopes!

Right might catch up later - have a lovely evening everyone

Wanted to say hi, have just joined up today so can I intrude? :p hoping to be round here a bit more and posting to keep motivated with the new life changes that need to take place! :rotfl:

This evening I will mainly be in DD's bedroom in preparation for the mammoth de-cluttering and cleaning session that's about to take place this weekend! Also must clean out the rabbit's hutch if I manage to make it home in daylight hours - oh the joy!!

Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok.
Well, the turkey I bought yesterday has finished cooking and has made the house smell yummy all day.We are having potatoes boulangere, and roasted veg with it.We are out to meet some friends for a meal tomorrow,so may leave some out for the lads and then freeze the rest.
The friends are picking us up ,and coming in for a drink before the restaurant ,so I've been having a good hoover round and tidy.

DH has just brought the car back from the garage ,for repairs which have cost over 2 grand:eek:.Not what you need in January, thats why I need 'rubber turkey'.
My first parcel of wool arrived this morning, can't wait to start combining colours for my blanket :j.Also my Good Food and Prima mags have arrived in the post today,so a lazy night for me tonight.

Better get cracking again, see you soon.x

Edited to welcome MancMillyMolly.Must have cross posted.Nice to see you,I'm a few miles down the road from you,t'other side of Bolton .You'll get lots of moneysaving and life change ideas on here.
