  • If you could only see what is staring you in the face!
Sorry to be cryptic but how many of us have a collection bin for cans and recyclable metals?
Now think to yourself, we pay the local authorities to remove our rubbish and to recycle the things we throw away.
The point is you pay the council to remove and then they make money from recycling it. Why not make money yourself by collecting your scrap cans and weighing it in.
This way its good for the environment and makes your next shopping basket economical.

I am going to grow my own veggies this year
  • I'm going to cycle into work.
  • I'm going to grow my own veg and have just got two chickens (Boudicca and Xena). We've had them since Tuesday and had 3 eggs already!

I'm also going to try to finally get my 6 month old twins into real nappies as opposed to the eco disposables I've been using.
  • Not only am I going to start cycling to work (when the weather gets better), but I'm going to teach the wife to cycle too.

I'm going to walk more and use the car less
  • Having got some bike panniers for Xmas I'm going to use the bike instead of the car for the quick trips to the shops, etc - I reckon maybe 10 miles or so a week saved.
  • I'm going to start making my own eco-friendly cleaners instead of buying chemical-filled ones from the supermarket.
  • I'm moving in with my partner, which will save heating two properties, mean that we throw less food away, have a garden in which to grow vegetables, and not least be close to a train station so we can both ditch our cars.
  • we are actually going to try to grow some veg. Otherwise we have ordered a second brown bin from the council so that we can recycle ALL of our animal cleanings out!
