Thankyou Sheloveshimsomuch that's really nice to hear, I always think my stuffs not good enough!
Nikki- you will be inundated with requests for help in April with all these new businesses being set up so I'd enjoy the rest now if I were you!!0 -
Hi everyone
This thread is moving even faster now, can't keep up! Been working the last three evenings, that might have something to do with it!
Just had 4 auctions end on ebay, made about £25 as it was stuff lying around. Hopefully, weather permitting going to have a good look around a big car boot tomorrow, got more stuff to list on ebay, must download turbolister! Bidding on some badly advertised clothes at the mo as well, think I can make a few pennies back on them if I win.
Going to grow some plants (hopefully, not that green fingered!) to sell at boot sales in the Summer, was thinking tomatoes, any other ideas? I don't have a greenhouse so they will be in the utility to start then outside if the sun shines!
As for the nattering housewife comments, we'll see who's laughing at the end of the year won't we?!!!!!Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.

Nixinixi - have you thought of offering short courses in photography? Would imagine there's a few people out there who have been given an all singing and dancing camera for Christmas but have no idea how to do anything other than point and shoot. The way you explained that even I understood and I don't even own a camera:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0

I am sooo out of date on everything I would really need to do some reasearch etc, but my main hinderance is that I feel I would need a camera to demonstrate with......but def. an idea for the future as I do miss my photography!
Saying that our local college offer such a course (I taught it for a while, but back in the days of film and darkrooms lol....omg that makes me sound old!!) so not sure if there would be much take up.....thank you, def worth exploring further and something I hadn't thought of!!

That's a great idea and definitely something I'd be interested in if someone did it in my area.
Maybe an advert in the local paper or Gumtree offering to sit with someone and their camera and teach them how to use it. That's so much more useful than a book or online tutorial!0 -

If you were teaching me how to use my camera, the last thing I would want is for you to show me on your camera, if you see what I mean. I would want to know how mine works, wouldn't be that interested in yours, lol
So I don't think it is something you would have to invest any money in, other than a few adverts and you'd have to tell them to bring their camera along. That could be your selling point - "I'll teach you to use your own camera".:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -

I have to ask - where abouts are you Susie?
The only question I suppose is what would you be willing to pay for it?
Sorry - just trying to workout if it is viable not put you on the spot and hijack your custom!!!:rotfl:Life is a work in progress0 -

I was just having a scout about on MSE and found the frugal living thread, its well worth a look cos at the top there are lots of links to crafty threads.....just had a look at how to make papier mache money pots, ideas for crafting for christmas, cute little cupcake 'flannel/towel/sock gifts etc etc....I know a few people on here were looking for craft type inspiration to make things to sell....get yourself over there, definitely inspired me!0
