Havent really thought about a specific target, ive been looking for good slogans that could sell. My aim is to use one of these sites that you send them the design, and they do all that side of it, then i get them back and flog them.
However thats the thing, im trying to think of a good niche in tshirts i can specify in.
I want to give it a shot, because although im usually the type to play myself down, i may not be the best at some things, but you you see people 'doing well' with themselves and you think, i would like to get on more, but i always end up putting it back!:o

    Do you know facebook?

Target facebookers - "I just found a lonely pink cow in the meadow", "Level 10 Assassin", etc. You know, the little posts you get on your news feed when your friends have been playing some of those addictive games on fb to while away the time.

You could produce them then advertise on facebook itself - it doesnt need to be that expensive.

TBH wayne, before you star spending money on getting stuff made you really ought to think about your market..... if the slogans are relevant to them, if not they won't buy them.....

eg topical/political slogans might work with students, but only if its the right design, you need to think of your design, logo, slogan and the design of the tshirt...... do some research on the competition, there is a lot around....

I realise that the business I am building there is a lot of comptition but I feel I can compete as I have spent time looking at what they do, how they do it and I think I know where most of them buy their stock from contacting supplier after supplier......

You would be better off spending time looking at the competition, seeing what is around already and then making some decisions.

I don't want to put you off, I just want you to succeed!

    HTH

    PM me if you like!

  • Truly, the facebook idea for the t shirts is brilliant! :T That's definitely a good one Wayne, have you got facebook yourself? If not, why not

Joey, don't let it get you down hun, it's one silly neutral and you've shown integrity by offering a refund. *hug*

skintbint/truly - I was born in Arbroath (Red Lichtie :D) but the family headed here to Edinburgh when I was 10 and here I've been ever since. I don't believe I'm missing anything having left Arbroath (!) but I do like a lot of wee places in Angus and like to drive around with the OH now and then. One day, when I've got enough money never to have to worry, I'd like a wee farm/small holding up there someplace. Sigh. One day!

What I have noticed is that Bing0 hasn't posted on it since he/she started the thread. I'm wondering if it's too boring now Mwahahahahah <that's supposed to be an evil laugh!!>

Seriously though, it seems a shame that all that fuss was made and now the other thread has almost died. Maybe I should put my non-dribble head on and go and post something useful.

    Maybe tomorrow :p

Says it all really doesn't it. I see they're up to a magnificent four pages ... I just want to put that poor suffering thread out of its misery :rotfl:

Mambury, I don't really know much about piercings, although they certainly seem quite popular among the alternative crowd here.

Evening everyone!! Just popped on for a quick update before I hit the sack. Sounds like you are all being your inspiring selves :D. Love it!

Scottish moves, Spain moves, E Bay sales, amazon sales, business names being made, stock being bought, t shirt slogans being investigated, designs being made.............(and dare I say it...........not a single whiffy slipper tonight :rotfl:)!!

Managed to list a few more bits on EBay. 20 items listed so far. Got a few more dresses to go on then need to tackle the kids stuff.

Not sure what OH trouble we have all been having today, but hope ev1 is ok xxxx My OH has been doing my head in for days. Being negative about everything, complaining about everything, nothing is right, etc etc............really pulling down my positivity. Seems he really wants me to fail at this - going on about me "wasting time" and "impact on family" ya da ya da ya da.

Work tomorrow (boo!) so have agood evening ev1 & hope you are all tackling those commitment lists lol!!!!! (I have not got one.......does that make me a whimp?!?) Nite xxxxxxx
