munchki, contact the council in the area you want to live in and get a list of landlords and housing associations council should have them as well. PM me what and where you are looking and i'll see if i can get you some info:wink:

personally i'd move to Perth - love it!

I adore Perth, although my heart is in Angus but then I can trace the family back to the early 1600's there, so I guess it's 'home' whether I like it or not! :rotfl:

2cats1kid - moving is certainly ticking all the boxes, even if parking is going to be an issue. You just have to sell, sell, sell the idea to the folks it will affect and I'm sure it will work out even better than before! :T

Promote my 'cheap' massages - half done
Phone certain company on Monday and attempt to sign up to a nail course (google Minx nails their so cool) - done and booked!
Ebay more items (gumtree proved unsuccessful although may try free ads)
Order ingredients to make my own body butter (for own use but at least it will be better/cheaper than buying 'posh' brands)
Do a much mystery shopping as feasible. - done 3 so fat
Find a smart outfit for my college interview on the 22nd (I want to be organised for once) - half organised

OK crafters. I have done some pendants in air drying paper clay stuff which I like, but (der) the paper clay is light cuz it's paper (der again). Any bright ideas what I could back the pendant with to give it a bit more weight? Worried they won't hang right if they are too light. Otherwise I'll just use the remaining paper clay for brooches and beads that won't matter if they are light. Oooh, beads .... what a capital idea .... just came to me as I typed. Coolio - another idea to play with lol.

LOL, of course I will, just did not want to bore anyone with my dribble!

I have a plan, well sort of a plan but I do know where I want to be at the end of the day.

I want to live in Scotland, I am positively passionate about it and feel so at peace there and I know in my heart that is where I belong. soooooooooo

I am putting my application in for housing up there, as it will prob take ages but is a start

I am applying for every job I am qualified to do, so far that is 5 today

I have an interview (informal) tomorrow morning here for a home care assistant, not done it in years and years but it will get pennies coming in so that I can continue to pay for my car and save what I can. Have told them that I want unsociable working hours as I want to keep looking for either my own work or spend time during the day looking for work up there (if that makes sense)

It is my time to put me first and have the kind of life and lifestyle that I crave and I am pulling out every stop and literally putting everything on the table to either sink or swim now. I have thought about what happens if I find a place to live up there but dont have a job or what happens if I find a job but have no place to live....very scary but in my heart of heart I know now is the right time. I will miss being able to see my son in an hours drive etc, but he is 21 now, a life of his own (such as it may be) and now it is my turn. I have been through hell and back most of my life now I want to follow my heart..and I could not have made all these choices without the lovely advice I have found here, you really all are like family to me and for that I am truly grateful

Ok, think I have dribbled enough!!

Gosh, now after sitting back and reading that it really does seem scary lol

Come up and join us, sweetie. Pity you are going east, pop through to the west coast of scotland when you get here - I will have the kettle on.

  • Maybe all us Scots will have to meet up in the middle!! Pitlochry, if my memory serves me :rotfl:

Now, I've uploaded a couple of my flowery offerings onto Flickr ... can anyone explain to me how the devil I link it here?
