I feel as though I've joined the conversation way too late (damn work!!), but just wanted to add my two-penneth. I know things can sometimes be difficult when you have kids and money/man issues etc, but I envy you all soooo much. When I was young, all I wanted to do was get married and have 3 kids (oh and to be an astronaut!!) and I would never in a million years have thought that when I got to my age I'd be on my own and no kids in sight. I just never met the right guy to take the plunge with and the years skipped by.

I'm not unhappy at all, in fact I'm quite content with my lot in life, but I often just wonder what things would have been like if I'd got the things I always wanted. It's only when my friends have their babies that I get a bit upset and have to have a serious word with myself.

I hope I won't offend anyone, I'm sure you do appreciate what you have really. But the good side of things can sometimes get lost in all the bad stuff and I just wanted to point out there is always a positive side to look at. You have the most wonderful gift there is in your kids and no amount of debt or man problems can take that away.

Ooh, can't believe I just wrote that on an open forum. I need a cup of tea.

Jo, I'm lucky 'cos my man may be extremely annoying but his heart is in the right place and he's given me exactly what I asked for, and that was 3 kids!!! And however annoying they are, I'm so blessed to have them. But I could be willing to share them and me OH as well....you're not in Devon by any chance???

So used the google images method and few minutes later came up with these sets of 12 shadow boxes which are disgusting when you look at how they've decorated them but when you look at the blanks maybe quite alright??

I so used to love making and decorating shadow boxes when I lived in the states, a really great craft that was. Not done it at all since I have been here!

  • I have no kids and at 41 am not likely to, so I adopt cats and Saucies :D

Yay!! Eugh I'm fed up with working.I know it's all worth it in the end but I'd much prefer to be making and photographing things...that's not guaranteed income, though, so I guess I have to wait :(

Ohh, and I found a gorgeous villa. It's only 1,800 euros a week....

I have lived in both the north and in the south of the country. Yes, we do love our crafts there and there are so many different things that I used to do, really not sure why I dont do them anymore. At this moment in time it is because I dont have the cash flow to do so, but one day I will get back into them! I used to make something that was personal to the individual and it sold so well, could not make them fast enough and would love to do them again, just dont have the cash for materials at the moment.

Besides, after a little errrr a lot of advice from some one here, i think i am about to take a rather big plunge in life.....what a rollercoaster it is at the moment lol x
