I'm just sorting out dd's clothes and I have loads to list but I can't decide if it's too soon.
Any thoughts ?

Just wondered if you can crochet anything other than flowers ? I was thinking maybe a teacup or top hat with an Alice in Wonderland theme ? (I'm slightly obsessed with this !!) I had a quick look on etsy yesterday and there were some lovely bits.
possibly , would just have to find a pattern - how big would you want them ?I am journeying to a debt-free life.

My summer maternity clothes have very little interest , so I have removed them and will put them back on in a few months - or on the first hotday with a short auction and next day delivery LOLI am journeying to a debt-free life.

I've not long hauled myself out of bed  so I guess I'd better get on with it! Anyone had any thoughts on my question about investing in a couple of samples of crochet goodies from eBay to see if my work is up to scratch? Thanks!

Hi Toots, instead of spending out be brave and post a pic of your work on here and we'll give you opinions? I'm sure it's lovely though- I'm the worst for thinking my stuff is no good but I've had so many lovely comments from people on this thread :-)0 -
Hales please can you upgrade my commitments. I have registered with Dooyoo.
Other than though I am not doing well at all. Will really be struggling this month.
I go away for a little holiday for 5 days on Monday (seemed a good idea when I booked it) Now i don't want to go as I have just started with a rotten head cold and I will miss this thread so much. Hopefully I won't get too homesick and will come back refreshed and raring to go.

For whoever was thinking of setting up a toy shop/ stall.
I have been thinking about this. I would research your more affluent neighbouring areas to see what is available.
There is a wooden toy shop and dolls house shop in Morecambe (which is a bit downtrodden right now although getting better all the time). People from nearby towns and villages go there as there is not really anything like it round about.
It is a real treasure trove of a shop and always interesting little bits for kids to spend pocket money on as well as the more expensive larger items.
They also have a large range of dolls house stuff - the proper scaled stuff and lighting etc and people travel from quite a way a way to visit it.
Before that shop started I used to travel to one about 40 mins drive away.
I do use internet for stuff too but that tends to be more well known sites. But having a local shop is great cos saves on postal charges and you can have a good old browse.
So if not much exists in neighbouring areas it might well be a go-er.

Thanks. Have found myself a pertner in crime for this one! We are looking at a building that has 4 floors, one would be stock/staff room and the other three shop floors. Will have a look into it, know bit about dolls houses, my grandad used to make them for a living, there is the potential to open up one or more of the other floors as something other than toys. AS far as I know, there is nothing like this in the area, was also thinking of models, but there is a big warehouse up here that does them so think that will be a no! This town and area in general is missing a lot. Completely missed that one, thanks again!
Will have a look into whaat is missing and what we could possibly combine.turn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
Thanks for all the kind words. No hangover which surprises me as I have been teetotal for years. So happy about that.
I have done the - throw everything of his out the window
get drunk
dont badmouth him to kids
Just the stop moping to do.
I have been a single mum for years in as much as he didnt live me with or contribute financially or to any decisions etc.. But we had 2 kids together and been together for 5 years. I keep looking at the 4 month old and it breaks my heart - I keep thinking I've ruined her life just as its begun
I know its the best decision- he was cheating and had the cheek to say it was all my fault - why are some men prats? He rang today asking bout kids and then said he was harsh yesterday, not all my fault but 80% now !
SO enough moaning - mum is having the kids tomorrow so I can springclean the whole house. Will have camera ready and notepad to prepare for ebaying. I have his iphone to sell too so thats a few quid. If I can sell wii and car this month that would be a great month !! Sold the dirty weekend I had bought for his bday too, so need to see if fee for changing names on reservation.
I would appreciate any recipes people have - I will be checking out the other forums, but if anyone has any simple low to medium budget tried and tested recipes for chicken, prawn, bacon, beef or veggie meals... love spicy food and rice and noodles. Froeign food. Anything really. I dont want them for selling on, but just to help me learn how to cook !! Probably best PM if possible rather than clog up forum.

You haven't ruined your daughters life, it wouldn't be good for her to learn to put up with that, and you are all she needs. He doesn't deserve you, and I hope you know that really..
I'm glad you aren't hung over, I'm a terrible drunk but I seem to avoid that too. Find some feel good songs to listen to when you spring clean, and sell everything he's left behind. More money for the pot :P
