    Morning all .

also have an order for 3 crochet flowers only 75p but it all helps :)

hope you all have a good day.

Just wondered if you can crochet anything other than flowers ? I was thinking maybe a teacup or top hat with an Alice in Wonderland theme ? (I'm slightly obsessed with this !!) I had a quick look on etsy yesterday and there were some lovely bits.

Hope everyone is ok. Going to have a major de-clutter today and get washing, ironing so I can list dd's old clothes on ebay

  • Paulabear, I love what you did with the cd rack! I can't recall what the base of it looks like (and I'm way to lazy to try to find the piccy again!!) but I think it would make a fabulous magazine/newspaper rack, inkeeping with the decoupage!

I've not long hauled myself out of bed  so I guess I'd better get on with it! Anyone had any thoughts on my question about investing in a couple of samples of crochet goodies from eBay to see if my work is up to scratch? Thanks!

  • FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY ... sorry don't mean to shout lol but excited!! ... have reached the $500 mark. Okay, I know I could take it down to $300 again tomorrow with more re-investing, but it has been my barrier so far, as I get close enough and then move in the wrong direction lol ... so am :T:beer::j:D

Now, haven't been on here as much lately due to having gone back to work as I have already mentioned, but have been looking at fairs/ markets etc and noticed if you google "fete recipes" or similar you get a lot of really great looking recipes. Have been making a list of things I could maybe try if I went to the right places.

In fact my ideas list is growing at an alarming rate ... now need to put it all into practise :rotfl:

For whoever was thinking of setting up a toy shop/ stall.
I have been thinking about this. I would research your more affluent neighbouring areas to see what is available.
There is a wooden toy shop and dolls house shop in Morecambe (which is a bit downtrodden right now although getting better all the time). People from nearby towns and villages go there as there is not really anything like it round about.
It is a real treasure trove of a shop and always interesting little bits for kids to spend pocket money on as well as the more expensive larger items.
They also have a large range of dolls house stuff - the proper scaled stuff and lighting etc and people travel from quite a way a way to visit it.
Before that shop started I used to travel to one about 40 mins drive away.
I do use internet for stuff too but that tends to be more well known sites. But having a local shop is great cos saves on postal charges and you can have a good old browse.
So if not much exists in neighbouring areas it might well be a go-er.

Hows this for having fun at work ?

Homebase film crew plus 250 extras are filming latest TV commercial at train station where I work.
There's a gypsy wedding at the hotel opposite.
Local football team are playing away.
We dont know if there's going to be a charter coming in as yet.
.... All this on top of a normal busy Saturday in a railway station ... good job I've just washed my hair ...!!

just a quick question please ...

do you think it's too early for me to list summer clothes on ebay ?

I'm just sorting out dd's clothes and I have loads to list but I can't decide if it's too soon.

    Any thoughts ?
