I'm having the best conversation with someone from paypal !! I'm trying to find out what I can accept payments for under their rules, but she has said to me I cant sell anything to do with having sex with animals ! I did point out this was illegal and therefore probably obvious but she hasnt quite grasped that.

I have horrible images in my head and I frankly feel offended she thinks I could do this !! I am polite well spoken lady - do I really sound like I want to flog things like that???

    Yuck

Urgh-you must come across as dodgy or something lol...only joking hun. That is horrible :-/

Well order has turned up so I am busy checking stock against the invoice.

I am now the proud owner of some doggie stuff. I know nothing about dogs !! Where would you look to buy clothes and accessories for dogs? I personally think anyone wanting to put their poochie in a dress will probably be found in a nuthouse, but I am prepared for the backlash from that controversial comment !!

I might practice what I preach and set up a doggie shop with a blog and then sell it with the stock.

Right, since I have probably offended half of you with your well dressed doggie woggies, I will carry on. I use DD1 to sell some items. She has got my £200 of orders in the last year. If I have an item I think would appeal to youngsters, I give ( or loan !) her one and get her to flash it around at school. When kids are interested she gives them my website address. Or the kids will bring in money in exchange for the item. But only if I know their parents are aware of the sale and the kids havent lifted the money from their mums purse ! She sold loads of emo stuff last year by taking in a bag, or some badges, or a belt, or earrings and kids went mad for them. Also I had some great talk to your pet books and she sold 6 last xmas ! I have sent her in with a case today for a phone or mp3 player and she is ging to see if she can get a few interested parties and then it will become a little craze in her group and then it might spread.

This sounds quite bad now I am writing it down. But I havent had any problems yet and no one has been pressurised to buy anything - in fact one girl gave me £5 in pennies from her penny jar and I refused to take it and gave her the thing for free. Or one kid's mum paid me £0.50 a week ( did consider interest added but decided not to !)

It might work if you know some of the parents and if your child doesnt become del boy selling out of their school bag in the corner of the playground at break time !

    !

nope-couldnt agree more! waterprooof little coats arent as bad but dressing up stuff urghhh. That section in Pets at Home with the pink outfits is just plain disturbing.
Mabel remembers a incriminating photo of her dog in a santa hat and goes to delete it quick.....

Good luck with it MMTWGR and genius idea getting your kids to 'network'!! knew I should have had children lol. Hmmmmm 2 nieces...must remember to train them for when they start school heh heh!

Apart from ebay the only other thing i can think of is a shop linked to a blog-perhaps a puppy blog, thats the time when people spend a lot on stuff when they just bring home the new bundle and also when they are loooking for info on training etc?
  • Okay, I'll get ready to go the nuthouse, but I guess you've tried Ebay? I've bought our doggy a suit, a santa hat and some reindeer bells for his ears...oh and a pink dress but OH said he wasn't allowed to wear it because he's a boy. Oh and he's got a little t shirt that says SECURITY. It's dead cute...

Yes, my dog is my baby, lol. He doesn't wear it out, and he like it, honest! And waking up to 'reindeers' on Christmas Day was hilarious. There are bells hidden all over the house.

Went back to sleep at eleven as I'm feeling positively rubbish, OH did too and has just woken me up. Looks like no parcels again (surprise surprise) and paypal seller is still being a cow, but I'll probably escalate it today.

Another rubbish post from me, sorry!

I so dislike pets but I guess I will have to get over that ! I would pay one of you MSErs to do the blog as I know there are lots of doggie lovers, but I cant afford to ! When I win the euromillions on friday, I may reconsider that

Also, thanks to the advice about my neighbour everyone. I spoke to her today and we both had a cry and its all lovely and out in the open now. I explained I didnt know what to say and she said a hug speaks a thousand words so that was good !

Glad you went to see your neighbour I'm sure she appreciated it.

R.e the blog- perhaps someone on here would buddy up with you and write the blog while you run the sales side. Could both make money from adsense or you could pay the blogger commission from sales? Don't know a great deal about blogs I'm afraid!
  • Saucysecrets - think there is gonna be a weepie Jezza on next - kid meets dad. Not sure my make up can cope.

OH is once again killing zombies on our 50", I was going to watch half of it and him have half (come on, I need my Jezza!) but he's being stubborn.

Just had an email that came like a slap round the face, and I might have to give up on the challenge and concentrate on being able to survive....Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze some help from somewhere but right now the rug has been pulled from under my feet.
