I'd suggest doing some listing first, and then that can just run while you get on with something else.

(Anyone think that Jane is going to be crocheting some willy warmers? ):rotfl:

I thought maybe was still thinking how to keep hubby happy or perhaps that is what he's not happy about! W isn't really too close to X either!!
Jane please please don't take offence but that is the funniest thing I've heard today.
Last night DS age 6 went on moshi monsters and said about his friends list. "wow lots of my friends have really big members":rotfl:

Glad it wasn't just me that spotted that!! makes me feel less of a pervert lol. Thanks Jane-you made me laugh!! and congrats on the housework :-)

Lilac -I use (and I have no affiliation with either of these btw) noseksjustgems and beadaholique..beadaholique are american so depends on the exchange rate as to whether its cheaper or not. I also use varius people from Ebay for odd items. Markylis (ebay username) is good for sterling silver chains. HTH
Cheers for that I use Jencel ( good for bulk swarovski) and brightlingsbeads (USA) I also flit about online and see what I like. Hmm wonder if becoming a supplier and a user is practical.. hmmmmmmm

  • If anyone is seriously considering marketing a decluttering service I have eventually remembered which tv programme it was on, and I think I have a book from the series so I can dig it out and get some info.

Wedding jewellery sites - I do remember some years ago seeing a website where you can host your wedding photos online so family and friends around the world can see them. I know some photographers do this but its all password protected and only so people will order photos. I am not sure if any of you with wedding orientated sites could offer this service too? It seemed relatively easy to set one up, or purchase the template on ebay for £10 or something, and you can charge people to host their wedding photos in a professional manner.

I bought a lot of cheap used wedding dresses online last year - some go for £5 ! I bought them singly, collated about 30 of various sizes and colours and then sold it as a job lot for £1000 with a website thrown in ( mr Site £15) and some free vistaprint stuff. Two points - one is you can create business ideas, get a little stock and sell on as a going concern therefore it doesnt need a huge amount of marketing or advertising - its the new owners job to do that. Or you could offer wedding dresses - I did some research and a lot of bridal shops suffered in the recession. I was going to offer a home service - so people come to me or I go to them with a selection of dresses ( I was aiming at larger sizes) I had hoped this would allow me to offer invitations, favours, shoes, accessories, bridesmaid dresses, chocolate fountain hire, limo or wedding car hire etc.. as add ons. I did some research and the response was good. Especially larger sized women - it can be embarrassing going to posh boutiques where the best size is a size 12 and they say oh it wont do up but have a wander round anyway ... not the most attractive way to feel on a day with your mum or friends finding your dress.
Also got given the idea of prom parties. So if a prom is coming up you host a party at one of the teenagers house and you can take orders for 10 - 15 prom dresses. You coud also link in with limo companies and get commission for any sale you secure. Or jewellery companies.

I have looked at or attempted about 1000 things in my lifetime - I'm just trying to remember ideas I had in case it helps anyone

Kids parties ? That was another one - princess and pirates. I have some info on that if anyone is interested. Again I bought this business for £200, added some stuff to the stock ( about £80 in the sales) and sold it for £800.

Sorry to ramble - if I offer the ideas up, then I can release them from my brain and the other ideas can breathe !!
