:o I think it was me who said that. But i said it because the lights on our new one give her something to look at she's auto attracted to them.

But the Barnaby one has different pro's, i put her in that at the bathroom door while i get a shower and she still likes it.

I just don't think the Barnaby is worth £35 tbh. Plus the music is a bit weird :p

No it wasn't you Beenie - although you did show me the link to the more stimulating one. It's two of my friends who have been quite vocal about it not being stimulating enough saying that babies can only focus on brightly coloured things

edit - saw your message thanks GISI - my fairie post arrived too :)

  • I was being a bit harsh! I think the Argos one looks really cute.
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p
  • I think it really does depend upon the baby with bouncers / swings - David isn't interested in his bouncer at all but will spend about 10 minutes tops in his swing :o He will, however, happily spend half an hour under his baby gym :T

David has been rolling on to his side for a week or so now and he has just rolled on to his side then on to his front :T

Does anyone have a lo who sucks their thumb? David sucks his and refuses a dummy but someone told me that orthodontically it is bad for them to suck their thumb?

Ah okay Gill, that's good then :p I put Amber in the rainforest swing at a friends house and it looked good, she looked v.comfy. But having said that i don't think they;re worth £70+ or whatever they cost, compared to a bouncer. Plus they take up more room. And i also justified not buying to myself by thinking it would make her rely on movement to settle lol! (I soo wanted one). Glad i didn't get one now though really.

I agree - the music is very strange! We got the Barnaby one second hand for £4 at car boot. It wasn't worth that IMO. Jack hated it and never settled in it. However bought this one second hand as well and he loves it

    Well Done on the rolling!

Edgar sucked his thumb and fingers, thumb sucking is the worst for teeth I think because they push their thumb against the roof of the mouth, I always pull Eds thumb out when he sucks it but it's very rare now because his index finger is permanently in there

    Hello all,

Not really been keeping up fully but had a quick glance whilst feeding H.

Weezl - I think OP is back to back! H turned OP and it was excruciating. At 8cm I had to give up the water birth as it made my back swell. It took another 8 hours and lots of ineffective drugs before I pushed her out. Maybe you are being too hard on yourself if he was back to back!

Gill - H showed no interest in the bouncy chair for the first few weeks so we bought her a swing. Now I would say that she lilkes them both equally. She has the same bouncy chair as you are looking at but it's a WTP design. Plain colours though. To be honest, I just use it as a place for her to sit and then she plays with other toys whilst sitting in it. I wouldn't worry too much about it not being stimulating. You can hook other toys over the arch which will capture his/her attention when they are old enough to care.

ETA - The music is rubbish and we never use it. And the controls are a bit rubbish. We only use it on vibrate rather than bouncing, and it's good for shaking poos out of them if they haven't pooed for a while! lol.

    Hello to everyone else!

I think Jack has been copying Ed! Problem is he keeps putting it in too far and gagging!!

Well done David :T Why can't my boy do back to front?!
I'm sure he only does front to back because he falls! :rotfl:

H has made herself sick a few times from putting her entire fist in her mouth (a trick I can also do much to hubby's amusement!). She has no interest at all in rolling though! Too busy jumping on anyone and anything as if they are a Jumperoo.
