Conversation with Alice at dinner time:
A: What's that? [points to chicken bone left on my plate]
    Me: It's a bone.
A: Mummy, do you want your bone.
Me: No thank you, it's not for eating.
A: Do you don't want your bone?
Me: That's right, I don't want the bone.
    A: Do dogs have bones?
    Me: Yes, dogs have bones.
    A: [pointing] That's for dogs.
There then ensued a conversation about how chicken bones aren't suitable for dogs but I don't think she was convinced.

The way I understand it, it's only if they keep doing it up to an older age that it causes problems.

Thanks Susan, he is only 13 weeks old so it seems he can carry on for quite a while without me interfering. :T

Don't worry - nobody would expect you to say anything this long after the event.

I agree - the music is very strange! We got the Barnaby one second hand for £4 at car boot. It wasn't worth that IMO. Jack hated it and never settled in it. However bought this one second hand as well and he loves it

Hi all, just popping in from the pregnancy thread and after a bit of advice re bouncers and swings for newborn+

I was looking at getting this bouncer from argos because I just love the little bears but have had some feedback that it won't be stimulating enough for baby as it is so neutral.

A friend who has a ten week old is singing the praises of her baby swing and has suggested this one from amazon and said her little girl wouldn't settle in a bouncer.

I just wondered if any of you would mind sharing your experiences with bouncers vs swings. I have vouchers for both amazon and argos which are burning a hole in my pocket and I want to get one bought :)

Hi, flying visit as I think Kezia is reving up for a feed.

I got the Barnaby chair and Kezia liked it for the first 2 uses then Grandad told her it looked like a Teddy Bear Gallows. After that she screamed everytime I put her in it (not that I'm reading a genius streak into that level of understanding at all). She has now started liking it again, the very day that she heard me offer it to my brother for his soon to be baby. Cant really say that I would recommend spending money on it but ok for free.

Mum is convinced I was psychic after many oddities in my childhood and now she thinks Kezia is the same way.

Anyway, she loves the swing and will mostly sleep but at least is quiet in it every time.
