Poor friends partner :o Unless the mother really didn't want me there, i'd choose to be there. Bit harsh for the mother leaving the room when she may have needed support. Each to their own though.
She actually wasn't bothered whether he was there or not. I imagine if she had been bothered it might have influenced his behaviour.

Looking back, I think the whole bumbo thing was a waste of money :o let alone the tray as well. I got Seth's when he was 3 months old and well able to hold his head up, but it seemed a bit pointless putting him in it at that age cos he would just look around for a minute or two and then be bored. Then I fed him in it at 4 months but ended up switching back to the bouncy chair cos it kept his head still and stopped him bobbing it around and jamming the spoon to the back of his throat, and at 5 1/2 months he arched his back and flipped out of it - luckily I was there to catch him!
We found it really good because Alice always liked to be upright rather than lying down. I used to put Alice in front of the wardrobes in it because they had full length mirrors on them and that would keep her entertained for ages. Alice was so fat that the Bumbo came with her when we picked her up though so we didn't get the problem of her getting out of it though.

She said bronchitis, but to be honest she was in such a state I'm not sure. He hasn't come back here though so gone out with his mates. That means the dog's been locked in all day and will have s**t everywhere. Not that he ever walks HIS dog anyway. RSPCA need to be told!

Weezl, hospitals an hour away but an hour of phonecalls and I have food, money and a phone on its way to her!

Had a bit of an unsettled baby this pm, she seems to get a bit agitated and after an extra feed but also seems to be straining a bit with wind or poop. We had a big poop earlier which was a little bit green towards the end, not sure if that is normal or not? She has gone back to sleep now. Last night she slept for 6 hours after her double feed, maybe she's gearing up to go a bit longer through the night without waking up (ever the optimist!!!)
We had occasional green-ness when Alice was very small. I understand it's fairly normal and if there were problems you would have more than justa bit of green.

Hey well done! You're a good friend.

How is DD? Is her polyhydramnios connected to bubs needing that op when she comes? Hope it's all going well...

Same here :o About 4 minutes is his limit then he starts arching his back trying to throw himself out of it. Glad it was a present and I didn't buy it
My OH stayed at the head end until he cut the cord, I asked him afterwards did it feel symbolic or anything when he did it and he replied 'no, I just thought the scissors could have been a bit sharper!'

OH really wanted to cut the cord but the midwife had to do it quick to take the baby to resus. He'll do it next time tho I'm sure. I'll tell him to expect the scissors to be blunt lol
  • weezl, I am putting Dylans tooth in his baby book, but it says which tooth and I dont want to just write, bottom front right (as I look at it, left in his mouth) what tooth is it ??
