Gill I think it depends on the baby, Chris LOVED his aquarium bouncer but Ed wasn't fussed at all with it *shrug*
I've never had the pleasure of using a swing though. Jumparoos come highly recommended around here but are only suitable from something like 3mths

SJ - I didn't make any noise either. I'm a suffer-in-silence sort of person. I think the mws all thought i was odd as they kept making comments about how quiet i was!

Hammy - very cute!!

Gill, my only advice is don't be disappointed if baby hates it at first. Finn's only started liking his in the past wk or so.

kian wasnt bothered with any toys for a good while. we have the bouncer (£15 from asda) and it did the trick for about 4months. we only got a flashier one at christmas as it will do him till he's about 2.

at first he would only sit in the bouncer for a few mins, but now he is quite happy for about 30mins.

he only started liking his activity mat/gym thung at about 3 months as well.

Gill - Swing will put him baby straight to sleep, my friend bought one and all 4 of our LO's were asleep within minutes!
I still use the bouncer now - J didn't like it as first but did start to enjoy it after a while. Now he just likes to escape it!

I think it was me who said that. But i said it because the lights on our new one give her something to look at she's auto attracted to them.

But the Barnaby one has different pro's, i put her in that at the bathroom door while i get a shower and she still likes it.

I just don't think the Barnaby is worth £35 tbh. Plus the music is a bit weird

No it wasn't you Beenie - although you did show me the link to the more stimulating one. It's two of my friends who have been quite vocal about it not being stimulating enough saying that babies can only focus on brightly coloured things

I think it really does depend upon the baby with bouncers / swings - David isn't interested in his bouncer at all but will spend about 10 minutes tops in his swing He will, however, happily spend half an hour under his baby gym :T

David has been rolling on to his side for a week or so now and he has just rolled on to his side then on to his front :T

Does anyone have a lo who sucks their thumb? David sucks his and refuses a dummy but someone told me that orthodontically it is bad for them to suck their thumb?
