harley - glad it all went OK. My creche won't accept made up bottles! They make up each bottle up individually even though I said they didn't have to.
Jack has had his 5th poo of the day  We did Minor Illness at Tiny Stars last week and she said anymore than 6 then worry. He is now having some nappy free time cos I'm not putting his bedtime nappy on now.
OH is worried he'll poop everywhere :rotfl::o:o Nappy off for 15 mins and we had 2 wees and a poo! That's 6 poos today and he's been sick twice but that was because he keeps sticking his fingers too far in his mouth!
Im back, caught up
glam I can't understand why they took jack away to test his sugars ?!
Chris was tested by heel plick and I've just remembered I was told "if they're low he HAS to have some formula" if it was the me now I'd tell them to f off though icant believe they didn't offer to show me how to express if nessesary!
All arbitary now as he ended up FF anyway but not the point.
Anyway news of the day:in 7 to 10 days I'll have an iCandy cherry in berry blue (which is actually more of a teal colour much better in RL than the website pic!)
They took him up to Neonatal - not sure why but that's where they took him and the other GD baby.
His sugars were 2.1 (so needed extra layer of clothing & a formula topup) then it was 2.6 - always had to be over 2.5 and the rest were.
Have you told OH about the new purchase?:rotfl: Loving that George Lamb is presenting the Aftermath
Yeah watching it now! Can't believe who it was (won't say in case someone not watching til later)
Jillie - we have to take an unopened tin in and then they will purchase it from petty cash. They open it, mark it with his name and date they opened it.
But thank you so much anywayA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Back to work after 7 hours?!!!
I was still on a drip and a catheter at that point!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

I have no idea why anyone would want to go back to work after 7 hours! Madness. I was also still bed bound with useless legs and a catheter in after that time.
Well I have pretty much written up my birth story. Turned into a bit of an epic though - 3 pages in MS word
Oh, and I changed my avvy0 -
I've no idea! She just makes up random babbly stuff but it's really funny.
When my parents were away she kept singing a song about a gingerbread man. The first verse is garbled but then chorus goes "he runs, he runs, he runs, he runs, he runs" then another garbled bit, then "he wants, he wants, he wants, he wants, he wants" and some more garbled bits.
Neither of us knows what the song is and we've never heard it on childrens TV programmes (been listening out for it!) and we had a look at gingerbread man songs on You Tube and couldn't find it. Came to the conclusion it was something she learned at the group my Mam takes her to.
I've asked my Mam about it as she was singing it when my Mam was round the other day, but my Mam has no idea what it is either.
I wouldn't have thought she would make up a lengthy song with verses and choruses, but it seems she has.
It sounds like one off Something Special but it isnt about a gingerbread man, its about different animals, i think one of the verses is
i've got a cat, a very nice cat and what does my cat do, he meows, he meows, he meows, he meows, oh ive got a cat and he meeeeoooooowwwwws a lot.
Its probably something completely different but when i read what you wrote i read it with the tune from that song to it iykwim!kindofagilr wrote: »Hey, just stepping in again
Did anyone here use a TENS machine when in labour, did you find it really effective???
I am considering on whether to get one?
i had one but when i was in labour i couldnt bear to have anyone touch me to put the thing on. i should probably have put it on a bit earlier when i had longer between contractions.Hi  Not been posting much this week, have read a bit though but mainly from phone in bed as it helps me sleep
(not that you all bore me or anything).
So my half-hearted lurking means i don't remember much....
Amber hasn't poo'd since Monday but is trumping a lot, nothing but skidders in her nappy though. How long was it til Finn eventually poo'd and had you given him any water/fruit juice? (or anyone else with same issue). She's whining good style though and doing my head in.
Ellis only poos about once a week, the longest he has gone is 12 weeks. the HV said that as long as he has plenty of wet nappies, it doesnt bother him and when it does come it is normal (not like rabbit droppings) then it is fine, its just his pattern and although it is quite unusual in breast fed babies it is nothing to worry about. i have never given him water.0 -
Right kids in bed
Have started doing a Key Stage 1 english book with Jasmine before bed time as her teacher has told her that her writing is still too messy and she needs to work on it. Now this has been told to her and us on many many occassions, and we have been working on it for ages, but she lapses in it every now and again, but for some reason this time it upset her and she wasnt sleeping well because of it for a few nights last weekI dictated a few things for her tonight to try and she was brilliant at it !! She left proper spaces and had the capital letters at the start and everything !! So proud of her
I was a bit nasty though and included write and right in the sentences !! Bad mummy giving nasty spelling words to her 7 year old !!The two best things I have done with my life
