  • I've not seen Eastenders for years, so have no idea who any of these people are! I expect we will be watching qi reruns on dave or something :) (Or watching DH play Assasins Creed on the ps3).

Izzy is into buttons at the moment. She keeps grabbing my finger and making me press the buttons on her animal noises books. And she likes pressing the button to call the lift too, but I have to pick her up to do it, as it is at my eye level - this building is so wheelchair unfriendly!

I told OH the blanked bit and he went mad at me for spoiling it - from the guy who says soaps are pointless 'because there will never be an end'

I really fancy a bottle of wine but my car is blocked in and OH is moaning that I've had all day to go out :( True but I didn't fancy one til now!

I just read the article that Sami linked to ealrier and noticed this at the bottom...

I have been taking calcium - should I stop?! (I am BFing)
I've had a quick search and haven't been able to find anything so far which agrees with the comment on the bottom of that article.

    Baby being taken:

Josh was born mid-morning, so I kept him with me. I had to stay in two days with him and left hospital not being able to breastfeed properly as nobody had time to show me and kept offering me bottles instead. Had a lovely community midwife who helped me master it when I got home.

James was born late evening and I had the choice of keeping him with me or putting him in the nursery. Kept him with me. He hadn't fed at all when he was born as he almost drowned! My waters burst and he shot out all at the same time and he inhaled the liquid and was born blue. Luckily they got him breathing but he was freezing cold and not interested in food. He woke about 4am, so I changed his nappy and fed him, and popped him back down to sleep. Midwife woke me at 5am to tell me that I must feed him, then had a rant when I said I'd already done it unsupervised?! Got woken again at 7am and told to ring my husband and have some toast as they needed the bed/cot.

Charlotte was a long complicated labour and I was seriously worn out by the end of it. They said I couldn't breast feed as I'd had pethadine so the midwife insisted on bottle feeding her in front of me, even though I was crying and saying no. What a cow! Then they whisked her away and just left me in a dirty gown sitting on wet/bloody pad things. I must have dropped off to sleep as I woke up a couple of hours later freezing cold and still laying there in blood and stuff. Rang a buzzer and was bluntly told they were busy and I'd have to wait. Couldn't shower until they came in a removed the drip thingy as I couldn't get the gown off.

Eventually she came and took that out then sent another young lass in to clean my bed up and make sure I didn't fall or anything in the shower. Got back into bed and asked for Charlotte back, but they kept saying they were too busy to bring her. Kept buzzing and asking for her till they got sick of me and brought her back :o

Then the room was the busiest place ever with someone coming in saying I needed to feed her, then someone telling me she needed a bath, then someone coming to do ob's. I hated it and just wanted to tell everyone to leave me alone. The main midwife was awful and really patronising and telling me I was doing everything wrong, even though I'd aleady brought up two with no problems. I really felt like punching her at times :o

Complained so much they moved me from the labour ward to a post natal ward, and got some lovely midwives who really looked after me and Charlotte. I really liked that ward.
Here I go again on my own....

10 different endings...so is it 10 suspects or less suspects but different endings for each one?

No he doesnt know either, there are 10 suspects and they each have a differnent ending...think that only a couple of people know who it will be... although the episodes for next week were filmed about 6 weeks ago I think so there must be some sort of ideas going round

Interesting article. I've just got to this bit:

 Why would one in five babies need to be taken away from their mothers? I actually wrote in my birth plan that Alice would be accompanied at all times by either me or OH but I didn't think it was that common for babies to be taken elsewhere.

Katie was taken away from me the first night as I was stuck in bed post c-section, not slept in 36 hours and was pumped full of morphine so I physically couldn't care for her. They took her away on the last night to give me chance to rest as I'd been up basically every night all night since she was born and I was cream crackered - only managed 2 hours as she wanted feeding.

    I'm just catching up btw.

    Hi,

Sorry, still pants at keeping up or even remotely skimming through during the day. Kezia is awake more now so I have even less time than I did before.

Thank you all for your kind wishes for nursery this morning on FB. It meant a lot that you were all thinking of us, you are very lovely. As it was I snuck out without making a big fuss about leaving and she was apparently a really good girl with no tears or anything (me either but that was cos I deliberately went to Tesco knowing the chances of me bawling in there were slim). When I went to pick her up she was asleep so I guess she felt pretty relaxed there.

She is staying for 2 hours on Tuesday so will have to prepare a bottle and stuff but I'm hoping that will go just as smoothly. Only one more week before my KIT days start, am dreading leaving her for the whole day but I really need the money now just to pay the bills so I don't really have much choice.

I hope you are all well and babies are all being the little angels I know they can be.

SM - what happened with the X Stitch, did you do any? and Squishy, how are you getting on?
