my OH was 'down there' for the birth & was telling me what was happening. He likes to say 'you were begging them to cut you' - what I actually said was 'HAVE you cut me?' cos it bl00dy hurt!
don't think he would have coped very well if I'd needed a CS though
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

i thinkit is interesting. i had one of the same kinds of moment with Katie this week. She started potty training and i though "When did u start goring up already!?" - so i dread t think how your moment effected/affected - (i always get confused!) you and how im gonna feel when she gets to your DD's age!

It's one of those moments when you get excited and then wonder where time had gone eh? affected ;)

My girls are popular girls, so I hope the sense i've instilled in them is used to good effect. I know there are many out there that would try to take advantage of their good nature, which is why i'm ready for anything  Fortunately guys suck at the moment, but I know one day it won't be the case and wouldn't want it to be as I want grandchildren when older :D Unless of course they start showing interest in girls, which is fine, but just won't have grandchildren :o

I'm stuck on a few peeps to win, well we'll now tonight :D I haven't watched the normal bb for a few years now, although I might watch it this time with it being the last one??

To be honest, i'm not bothered now Nicola has gone

I think the summer one will be a bit freaky. Last one and they'll try and make it as controversial as possible.

My OH stayed at the head end until he cut the cord, I asked him afterwards did it feel symbolic or anything when he did it and he replied 'no, I just thought the scissors could have been a bit sharper!'

Jas was nearly 4 1/2 hours old before I held her, my OH, mum, dad, MIL, FIL, SIL and nephew all held her before me, so I stated at Dylans c/s that I wanted him first :)

I heard OH talking to Alice this morning. She must have asked him something and I heard him say, "I'm concentrating at the moment - Daddys can't talk and concentrate at the same time." So I guess men are allowed to man bash.

IRL I've always heard of it as TOTM and never AF but online it always seems to be the other way round.

:rotfl: Very good. I'm always using the 'man' excuse to my girls but it doesn't work anymore :o

TOTM is the way we say it. Could go the AF route, but I suppose don't fix what's not broken and all that. Never seen it before online, but then don't look for it and so many abbreviations anyway.

Whats wrong with Vinnie - who are you favouring then?

Just don't like his overly inflated ego, his jibes at others and lack of sense of humour/ability to do anything that takes him out of his comfort zone. I wouldn't say he's disappointed me as I only remember him as a limited footballer infamous for touching Gazza's balls, but he's not very nice and i'd like to test out all of my training on him. Not often I want to slap someone, but he makes me want to slap him. Reminds me of someone I used to work with - not good.

I don't really care who wins, Alex maybe, as he's put to bed all the media coverage of him and acted with dignity in there. His jibes at Vinnie after all Vinnie has given him have been quite funny.

MOTM, I know exactly how you feel re DD16 being all grown up. I look at my DD16 and it really frightens me how mature and the fact she is now such a beautiful young woman. I know i'll blink and Rose will be there before i know it.

I ventured to the mothers and toddlers and had a nice time. Beannie, im glad i made the effort and it wasnt as daunting as i thought it would be. Rose loved it and started playing with the other babies straight away. She was trying to reach them and kiss them ( or eat them, im not sure). It was lovely to see her interacting with them. I'll definately go back next week x

Yes, it''s quite frightening. As I said before, all my girls are growing into little beauties and I forsee trouble. I do hope they meet nice fellas or if they prefer, girls. I don't have particularly strong standards for the people I want my girls to be with. Job/Money etc is secondary, but they have to treat them right. They are good girls and deserve respect.

Glad to hear you had a good time. Forgive me for not knowing, was this your first time? Good to hear you will go back next week. All sounds positive.

My OH said the best bit was seeing Alice actually come out. But his friend found birth boring and stepped out of the room for that part.

Poor friends partner :o Unless the mother really didn't want me there, i'd choose to be there. Bit harsh for the mother leaving the room when she may have needed support. Each to their own though.
You can still have grandchildren if they like girls MOTM !!

Are we talking jug and baster or adoption?

I'm not saying my girls like girls, but who knows. I wouldn't have any issue with it, as long as they were happy. It's why older girls carry condoms, I don't want them to get pregnant or have sex yet, but if it happened, we'd deal with it.

But grandchildren are hopefully some way off. Not in my 30's please :o:cool:
