He then pointed out to me that he attends RTAs, dead bodies etc on a daily basis . I forget what he does when he's not at home with me.:rotfl:

I'm quite worried about OH as he's terribly squeamish - he's very close to being sick when he walks the dog and had to pick up poo!
But he's quite excited about his visit to the mortuary in a couple of weeks time. :(

Csh - Eww at the babies skull description! As well as not wanting OH to see all the gory details, I didn't want him to see in case I pooped too. :rotfl:

I only switched the laptop back on to do the CTF but the voucher isn't in the info pack that I brought downstairs. There's one place that I think it could be. I hope it's there, otherwise I've no idea. I'm usually quite organised believe it or not...

    :A Done it...Sami take note :D

and now to nice things - hows about a (south) London meet? I hope I got the bold in the right place  aless and jennynoo are up for it and others who we are sure are "local" are lou, Somnium, Mazcabs, Lil Miss 06, zgaze, Bruno and Claire. I remember other names from chats on the pregnancy thread I am sure. We could make it central London somewhere then it'll be easier for even more to meet - if you are daunted I managed the pushchair on the overground into Victoria a couple of weeks ago and while it took a bit longer to get to friends in covent garden as I had to use buses rather than the tube to avoid stairs it was actually a lot less stress than I imagined.

Let me know if you decide to have one, i dont mind London too much as worked up there for years

fairy announcement - just opened todays post and have the following vouchers arrive (can't see they are "me" restricted) if anyone wants them:
£1 off pampers nappies valid until 30 April

Anyone claimed this yet if not I will :D

My OH was at home for both - I know he doesnt like hospitals so decided it wasnt worth forcing him to be there as would be worrying about him instead of concentrating on giving birth - only downside for him was it was the start of changing pooey nappies he he:rotfl:..I still think Williams are better than Henrys but he wont do newborn ones!! and yet he will pick up the dog poo!!!

Sami - I have stretch marks too although they did go quite well after Henry so hoping the same applies - hardly any CS scar

Maz- My OH honestly can't change a jobbie bum. Something about the smell just catches his throat and gives him the heave! Kieren gets scared by the noise cos he honestly can't help heaving! Its quite funny to watch, but I'm mean! Hes not putting it on to get out of it, and will change him if I'm out but holds his t-shirt up over his mouth and nose!
I can't deal with sickness so hes always the one to clean that up.
DD had the novo-virus last winter so it was a fun few days for him hahaha

AF...I really feel for you. I know im quite lucky in that im only going back for 2 days a week but fully understand how life changing it is going from being so work focused to realising that something/ someone else now takes priority. I think because it feels so alien its more difficult to deal with too.

I too would try your hardest not to become involved in the politics where possible and see work, for at least the time being, as a means to an end. Enjoy the time you do have at home and then try to review the situation where possible. Hope you feel better soon x

MOTM, I know exactly how you feel re DD16 being all grown up. I look at my DD16 and it really frightens me how mature and the fact she is now such a beautiful young woman. I know i'll blink and Rose will be there before i know it.

3, my eldest DD (16) started with migraines about 9 too. The docs said it was hormonal. She didnt start her periods till 15 and they became quite bad in between but now she has started them they are few and far between. ( well maybe one every few months compared to a few a week before)

Feelie and Ladybird, lovely pic...sooo cute.

I ventured to the mothers and toddlers and had a nice time. Beannie, im glad i made the effort and it wasnt as daunting as i thought it would be. Rose loved it and started playing with the other babies straight away. She was trying to reach them and kiss them ( or eat them, im not sure). It was lovely to see her interacting with them. I'll definately go back next week x

I think he's the most extreme example and thankfully not all men would feel that way about it. But, when I had mine, I warned OH to stay up near my head and not even glance down there.
My OH said the best bit was seeing Alice actually come out. But his friend found birth boring and stepped out of the room for that part.
