Not sure if pookie lives here or is just from here.

:kisses:thank you everyone :kisses: you are all so supportive and i knew i could count on you all xxxx
hi everyone,
sorry everyone was so kind and posted so many respones i couldn't multiquote them all (how do you all do more than 3?? -- in another window?)
alot of the responses made me cry (but i wouldn't take much at the minute) and you are all so understanding. it was so hard for me to post what i was feeling but i knew it was the right place as everyone else is in the same boat as me.
it's kind of hard to keep out of the politics (or at least it affecting me) due to my role and the company set up. i was such a workaholic before (and MFD will agree i think, she told me off on more than one occasion when pregnant for putting work first - she was right to do so of course).
i just really need to focus on enjoying the night time i have with her bath/bed etc0 -
I have a gazillion stretchmarks too, can I join the club? And not all are pregnancy related...:(top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

I would need a carseat too as the (EVIL) travel system Ive got came with one. I feel bad as OH's parents paid for the pram and I found it as cheap as possible for them as their not too flush so dont want them to think Im snubbing their pram but I can barely push it! My sister lives near the M&P outlet and they've had Skates for £199 so Im severely tempted. Its that or the Joolz I think, just need to persuade OH now.I've got a big wiggly line too. Its faded a bit but I thought it would have gone by now *confused*
I thought I did <insert confused smiley> but I've just had a peek and it's gone. It was definitely there for a good few months after C was born. I don't know when it disappeared though :rotfl: (I promise I do have a shower occasionally)
Sophie has just arrived. Caitlin seems to like chewing her head the most  followed by throwing her on the floor. She (Sophie, not Caitlin) is currently sat next to me on the sofa whilst Caitlin is napping on the other sofa :rotfl:0 -
AF, I know exactly how you feel. I am going back in 9 days full time and am dreading every second of it, but at the same time, know I need a life outside the home.
I made a point of doing something purely for Jasmine on my day off, and will do the same again now with both of them. It could have been anything, like soft play, the park, go for an ice cream, or when she was a bit older, I have taken her for a manicure a few times
It does get easier, but you will still have days when it gets bad again, you just have to tell yourself you are doing it for her !! and make the most of every minute you have at home, even if it means that your house isnt spotless or all the toys arent put away ! xxThe two best things I have done with my life

Yay to SM being able to attend the meet and lovely NMS for helping out
Wish I was coming0 -
I only switched the laptop back on to do the CTF but the voucher isn't in the info pack that I brought downstairs. There's one place that I think it could be. I hope it's there, otherwise I've no idea. I'm usually quite organised believe it or not...0

I too am in the stretchmark club, although ten weeks on they are starting to fade a bit.
On the big baby debate, I really don't think they have much of an idea unless they scan you. When I was in labour (36 hours in actually) the consultant merrily strolled in, felt my tummy and declared that my baby was really huge . First time anyone had mentioned it, scared me senseless and was completely wrong. Henry was 8lb12oz which I don't consider to be particularly masive considering he was 15 days late!
On the birth discussions -MOTM and Bruno- if either of you are around, I'm really interested to know how men are affected by the whole labour/birth experience and whether it stays with you in the same way.
Aless- glad fairies made it to you!
We took Henry swimming this morning and it was pretty much a success :T. No crying, quite a bit of smiling and giggling but not much splashing about yet. We'll definitely go again though cos I really want him to love the water as much as I do.
SM- yay for going to the TC meet.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
