    Afternoon.

Stooopid work t'internet has been playing up all day. But have finally caught up.

Lovely pics Feelie and Lady. Love little red headed boys, not that i'm biased or anything!! (Have two myself:whistle:)

Sorry, I have escaped through two pregancies with no stretch marks on my stomache. Boobs didn't fair too well though. But have gone up and down in size through out the years, even when not pegnant. Also have fab CS scar, surgeons did a very good job of going through the first scar on the second CS.

OH does wet and stinky nappies. Not bragging or anything because sterelizing and sorting out bottles is completely alien to him :(

for those who have the bumbo...do you think the tray is a good idea?
we will have for K bumbo, rocker chair- can sit up nearly straight and highchair as well for feeding.

My sister has the bumbo with the tray and uses it loads, for feeding as well but I think they outgrow them quite quickly so I haven't bothered (I was given a bumbo without tray.)

Erin loves eating her Sophie (the giraff, not her cousin) but I have to hold it for her as she still isn't using her hands yet.
I have to hold Islas teether too and she goes berserk if you stop.

SM glad your getting to the meet :j

We're back from baby massage and it was fab :T Isla only cried a little halfway through but a quick cuddle and she was good to carry on. I think its the longest she's spent awake not feeding and happy. Their were only two other babies but it was nice so we're definately going again.

On the birth discussions -MOTM and Bruno- if either of you are around, I'm really interested to know how men are affected by the whole labour/birth experience and whether it stays with you in the same way.

    The whole labour/birth experience...

Not sure what you wish to know, so forgive me if I go totally off topic...

Practically/Physically - Firstly, I have no stretchmarks ;) sorry to disappoint and I couldn't watch the babies coming out  I couldn't even look at the babies until the nurses etc had done all they needed to do and put the babies into her mothers arms. I had to be there though, especially after experiencing the first time, as it's an amazing experience, even though I felt like passing out each time. Plus to be there for my partner at the time. They may not have been much cop looking back, but they were giving birth to my daughters. I also thrive on being relied upon, so the practical side of making sure partner had everything and with the later births, making sure the girls already in the world were okay, had everything they needed and were made to feel just as important as they have always been amongst all the other thing. I like multitasking - I saw Susan's comment which i'll comment on jokingly as I found it amusing. I had to go to and from the hospital though as the girls already in the world needed sleep, although a friend helped out with the looking after of them at various points.

As far as it staying with me goes, they simply were the best experiences ever, along with seeing them all grow up. Although I don't want the panic of rushing to hospital again. As exciting as it is, it's also scary.

Is that the kind of thing you wanted to hear? Or has the whole conversation gone over my head?

I could bring out the weights of the girls, I have them written down in numerous places :D

Anyway, certainly an experience i'd 'like' again. Even men get broody, but not at this early stage of the relationship between Lucy and I. She's 28 so has time on her side. I think it scares her a bit, but also exciting that one day she may be a natural mother. At the moment she's enjoying the partial mother/partial big sister/partial older friend role.

My OH said the best bit was seeing Alice actually come out. But his friend found birth boring and stepped out of the room for that part.

Boring isn't a word i'd have thought of to describe a birth!

Jillie We had the bumbo with tray. The tray was handy for when we first started weaning and for keeping her in the bumbo when she was big enough to try and escape.

Angela Your poor big DD. I'm glad you braved the group and you both enjoyed it. It's scarey that first time isn't it - but you'll be fine next week. I was like a child starting school when we went for our first Gymbabes yesterday. :o
