Oh effing eff. The woman who sent me the job ad was actually talking about a different ad and it's all really confusing. Still, I've reapplied for the job I actually want and am writing a separate application letter for the other one. But hmph.

  • MDW, I would say 2 weeks too, any longer than that and the parents will forget, any shorter than that and they will not have time to make suitable arrangements. All invites at Jas school are normally between 10 days and 2 weeks :D

  • I have the problem of Jasmines birthday being the week after Halloween holidays so we have to give them out just slightly longer than the 2 weeks or on the week of her birthday !! I have most of the mums numbers now though, so can just give them a ring during the holidays :)

    Hey, just stepping in again

Did anyone here use a TENS machine when in labour, did you find it really effective???

I am considering on whether to get one?

I did, I had the Boots one. Got it on eBay second hand for £30 and my sister borrowed it as well, you can get new pads for around £5 on ebay as well.

My problem was I never read the instructions as I wasn't planning on going so early! So I had it stuck on the contraction stage and couldn't work out how to crank it up to the pushing stage but I still managed with the lower setting :D and no G&A for pushing :p (just get that in there ;))

damn, I missed the Mooncup discussion. FYI, listen to the manufacturers - they know what they're talking about when they say a small size one won't fit correct after birth :o. I'm annoyed actually b/c now I have to fork out another £20 for the other one! :p

(also annoyed b/c I somehow got something resembling a period despite exclusive BFing?? am hoping it was just a fluke...)

P.S., ladybird - do ittttttttttttttttt. You will never look back!!

I had it for the contractions but MW took it off me for pushing - said I wasn't concentrating!
