    Gorgeous pic of Molly, Sugarspun.

On the weight thing, OH took me out for a late Valentine's meal last night, and when the girl came to take the order, she asked whether there were any things I wasn't eating in my condition :o. I'm not sure she believed me when I said I wasn't in that condition - made worse by the fact that I suddenly felt ill when the food actually came, and we had to leave without me having any of my main course (and I ended up being sick by the side of the road on the way home :o, classy girl that I am!)

Edward is really enjoying his baby rice, but I'm finding it hard to convince him to try anything else. He's turned his nose up at pureed carrot, carrot mixed with baby rice, and pureed apple and pear. He did enjoy some sweet potato today though. Any ideas of suitable purees for fussy babies too young for BLW much appreciated!

We have tried the following and all gone down well except Brocolli but it's OK mixed up with something else.
    Apple
    Pear
    Banana
    Carrot & Parsnip Mix
    Sweet Potato
    Butternut Squash
    Brocolli
Mango & Peach (in a jar :shhh:)
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Brocolli goes a bit bitter if it's pureed... But any vegetable is good for pureeing... Try cutting butternut squash in half, scoop out the seeds and bake on low for about an hour... The flesh just scoops out, no pureeing required :)

New market stalls keep popping up on our market, fruit and veg laid out in bowls and each bowl is £1, very bargainous for mini turnips and grapes which we seem to get through a lot of...

Claire and Elle - hope you had a good time this afternoon. Claire, I reckon RR should last quite a while...a good few days as long as it's refrigerated. Sorry to hear the job wasn't suitable :(

Jillie - we bath Caitlin every night and since last weekend, she's cried every bathtime. I think she's getting more clingy to me and DH usually baths her so I think she's "missing" me.

Tara - yay to Poppie. She is doing so well.

3 - we've got Caitlin's eight month check tomorrow (two weeks early :D). One of my NCT mummy friends phoned up her surgery as hadn't heard anything and she was told it would be when her baby was 12-15 months old. Surely they don't do the 8 month developmental checks at that age, do they?

MDW - well done to Katie for going to the toilet by herself!

SS - I love those dungarees! Did you buy them in Germany?

Chopsticks, they came from my uncle in the UK, whose granddaughter is enough older than Molly that her season-appropriate outgrown stuff fits.

Tara, I meant to say Hurrah! for Poppie latching and I am off to your thread now :)

  • We're not getting an 8 month check because we only have a part time health visitor... Oh yeah, 3 the check your HV mentioned is probably the 27m check that they're supposed to have in addition to the 8 month check...
