DH has a day off today, but has gone off with my dad to take delivery of our new pollytunnel at the allotment. Izzy is asleep. I am having a well earned hot chocolate and a sit down
Morning all. We were up at 6:05 this morning - felt like a lie in after the last few days, and I forgot the forum was down. I'm sure I had something really interesting to share with you all too, but never mind. It can't have been that important if I have forgotten it.
Having a productive day so far - DH and my Dad have been playing with Izzy (plus after me pointedly putting the hoover by his feet DH hoovered, and my Dad did the washing up too... ) Still got washing to put away, wet washing to hang out (when it if finishes) and another load to do. And lunch to make. And there will be more washing up later. Seeing as paper plates aren't very mse.

not even sure if this is a good idea to post this as it's a bit personal, but i just dont know what to do.
You are allowed to do self indulgent posts when you need them. That is what we are all here for - to give each other support, and ask for it when we need it too
I've kind of had the same thing at my work, although not as bad as you by the sounds of it - I've come back to redundancies, and lots of stressed and very !!!!!y people. (I'm not sure if they are more !!!!!y than before, or if I just noticed it less - I'm sat with some different people now, so maybe they just weren't so catty when I was within earshot before?)
You are right to keep your head down. Remember you are there for the money, not for the social stimulation (you get that here :rotfl:).
I have to keep telling myself she is better off with me at work than with us being reposessed ... although I have to say that it does help knowing she is having a fab time at nursery/with my Mum, even if I wish I could join herI think having a bit of independent time away from Mum is no bad thing either - I'm sure they learn all kinds of useful social skills that way.
I forget if you've gone back part time or full time? Is there any possibility of reducing your hours? Or starting to do job applications for somewhere else? While i'm here and hogging the thread anyway, i have a question.
Has anyone, or anyones naughty OH been on a Driving Course after a speeding fine?
I've been offered one; the choice is 3 points and a £60 fine, or attend this half day driving course for £88 and get no points.
I'm just curious as I don't know anyone who's been on one.
My Dad had to go on one a while back - I think his was a two day one. From what he said it was very patronising, and run by people with a sense of humour failure (I think he got a stern look or two, because he is a born heckler :rotfl:) Better than getting points though.Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Morning all
3, my cousin has been on the course as he is only 21 and didn't want the points at such a young age (just like you and me!:D). Said it was easy...
I would definately do it if I were you

I won't say much because I'm sure weezl n mel don't want to know about it but what happened (from the minimal facts we know) sounds like the result would have quite similar in a hospital birth.
I think the main issue is why she was having a homebirth? ie. was it because the MW should have but didn't reffer her to a consultant/did the mother purposely go against medical advice?
because it sounds like if she'd seen a consultant they would have strongly recommended a planned c/s or being induced early
3 - a friend of mine had 2 12lbers and she's a similar size to me :eek:0 -
Considering Poppy: 8lb 11.5oz, Jamie: 10lb 12.5oz, baby No3: 12lb 13.5oz!?! :eek::rotfl::eek:
After our 'talk' we have decided against number 3 (for now).

Looking at the potential size of No.3, I can't say i'd look forward to it.
My little 6lb 12oz hurt enough thank you.:beer:0 -

I read an article and it seems that the mother had undiagnosed GD, although it's not clear if she refused the GTT or if the midwife was negligent.
I think the midwife should have had an assistant at the very least.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I haven't read the article but did she have lots of scans (like I did) progressing the big size of baby? Consultant knew how big Jamie was but would not entertain early inducement.
