GISI - yes, I'm just lazy, I've got some EBM in the freezer but it's a bit old.

GISI, yes she'll take a bottle, she's had formula a few times before, it's just her clingyness. She'll be ok with someone for 5 mins or so, then just gets really upset and wants me back.

sami, i thought so, esp. when Susan posted that diary of Alice who didn';t actually "eat" anything for a good while. I don't think ur being selfish at all - by 8 mos, I'm sure everyone's ready for a wee break!! he'll start swallowing more soon esp. as he gets older and needs more to fill his tummy.

good luck weezl, hope it's nothing serious :o

  • Sami - you might find that he drinks milk from a cup much better if you aren't there. Izzy won't drink formula if she can have the real thing, but drinks it fine at nursery. Is it worth having a few test runs with your parents with you nearby incase you are needed (you can still have some "me" time - use it to put your feet up and read a magazine or something?) and see how they get on?

  • Hi,

    Just had a skim thorough

Yay for Poppie - more vibes heading your way as they're working.

Katie had a fab time at the dance show last night - she spent the entire show copying every move they made! She was still going strong at 11pm!

I'm just waiting for by brother to post the video on his FB then I can transfer it to mine for you all to see.

She's already signed up to start when she's 3.

We've had a good swimming lesson today, she learnt how to dive in - which she throughly enjoyed.

DH is home now and we're off out as Katie is desperate to show off her new buggy to the world!

    See you all later.

thanks elle, sorry it wasn't meant as a nag, I've been having some PM issues of late :) x

GISI can you let the other thread (recipes) know why I've shot off :)

Have done. Fingers crossed you're back home soon.

Sami- milk is good for up to six months in the freezer so may be ok?

Yay for swimming and dancing, MDW. I couldn't get Henry onto Waterbabies in the end as it was fully booked. We're on the waiting list for the following term though.

I guess that must've been in the civil war then? Must be very frustrating.

Does that mean there are people living who are unable to prove when they are born? I used to have a great great Uncle who didn't know what year he was born so wasn't sure exactly how old he was.

think it may have been after that.
yes there's lots of peeps who dodnt know their proper birthday. So there was a cut off point and they were all given passports as proof of age etc to claim pensions etc.

my mil was born on the 25may but her dad registered her birth as the 26may....

umm... weaning----i did try with kian the other week but he wasnt for having it, so waiting another few weeks. i'd rather do it when he's ready rather than feeding him baby rice rtc cos i want him to eat. he does watch us eating more and more so i know he's nearly there.

thanks for the link gisi!! :D
