Roll on Feb I've just had more bad news have just been told the neighbour at our old house has passed away suddenly. That is my 3rd death of January.
Aww that's really sad. Hope you are ok *hugs*
Was a bit sad yesterday as when we took the dogs out, the family of my neighbour who died recently were in his house clearing his stuff out.
Got the window fitters coming today. The bathroom has a very narrow window high up with very thick frosted glass. As it's a north facing room, it doesn't get much light in. It's a wooden window and the frame warped ages ago and I haven't been able to open it, so I've been fighting a battle with black mould. Window fitters are going to take some bricks out to make it bigger, and the new window will have trickle vents in to help prevent the black mould. Got them on the other bathroom window and they do help.
Looking forward to the problems being solved with the new window, but not looking forward to having a big hole in the house as it's freezing today! Hope Charlotte is ok as she hates drills and cries when I use one.
Have a good day allHere I go again on my own....0 -
Hammy, I would just go to the docs anyway, it's only if you might have swine flu that you should stay away and blisters sounds bad. (take your temp to see if you might have flu.)/QUOTE]
Thanks Jenny, I had a telephone consultation yesterday - my GP doesn't believe in thrush in the breastI am such a bad Mummy - I have given David my cold and he obviously has a sore throat and is struggling to breathe with his blocked nose
. I am still going out tonight with RL Mummy friends though to celebrate my birthday this weekend :j

Have put the fisher price aquarium thing on the side for now and he was happy looking at that in there for a while, so a good start methinks!!
William always cries when I put the mobile onMorning all - I think the forums should close every night, then I don't have pages to catch up on.
I agreeI've only just realised! isn't prince Harry actually called Henry?
Henry & William...
Yep he is. Do you know I had never even thought of that. on my visit to work yesterday someone suggested that the next one should be called Charles!!!
Had a nice couple of hours there and sorted out some problems for them - men are sooo useless sometines ( Bruno and MOTM excepted!)
William was asleep for most of it and then woke up on the train home to have a feed, had 2 ozs and went back to sleep!!
I'm so jealous of you all meeting up. There arent many groups near me or many of you so dont really meet up with anyone.... typical just caught up and he's woken up grr see you in a bit...Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Becles, hope the window fitting goes okay and Charlotte is okay with the drilling.
Hammy, I hope David feels better soon. Silly Doc. How can you not believe in something to have been medically proven?
3, Id be tempted to send her and see how she goes. If she feels really bad im sure they'll ring you.
Have a good day everyone. Off to do a bit shopping soon xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -
"Charlotte is looking forward to doing a poo on the aeroplane" :rotfl:
Do you have an aeroplane trip planned? Someone might have told her that the poo gets sucked out of the plane and she might be really interested. But meeting you guys and talking to the rest of you online has kinda opened up my world and I know if I ever have a problem/query I have a extended family here that'll be able to help me.
I feel exactly the same way. It really is like an extended family. :A, all of you. I'm glad you're doing ok at work.ManOnTheMoon wrote: »one day they will have a smelly man in tow
He might not be smelly...
MM it'll fly by and you can talk to them every night. Do you have Skype?
I'm sorry Scruffy
MOTM I couldn't abide that BB Mikey, he flagrantly thought he'd get the pity vote and his face when he didn't win was a picture.
Ooh, early morning Rose? Sympathies Angela.
I'd probably keep her off, 3, but I get horrible headaches and I'd be worried she got the same type as me if she was my littlie, IYSWIM? But without that I'd send her in.
Postman rang the bell and woke poor snotty Molly so my morning tea toast and catchup has been joined by a small girl wheezing pathetically and chasing my mouse. But she just latched herself on through great exploration of my clothing so is now at least contained.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I missed a few bits last night as I kept moving from the lounge to the hall when scary bits were on TV, then back again when each scary bit had finished, so some of the bits below are from last night.Haven't received anything from Vertbaudet
but chopsticks if you find that code can you let me have it please?
Big hugs for everyone else. I have a raging headache and am going to bed.
Hope your headache is better this morning. I used 3288 to get £5 off a £10 spend, plus free delivery. That code works on Happy Price items too. I also got an email yesterday from them with the code 1669 but it's only for £5 off a £25 spend and you don't get free delivery. Don't forget Quidco too.I heard that
nevermind...:A
I will do it today. The page is already open on my lappy, although it will need to be closed and re-opened via Quidco :money:
Tia - congrats on getting your offer!
Caz - have a great day out tomorrow, you deserve it,.
Tara - hugs to you for a crappy day yesterday. Do you think your friend will leave her OH?
MM - yay to all your bargains yeasterday. That's loads for £30! I haven't been into Dunnes for ages.
Mookie - well done to Leila for being such a clever baby, both moving and going to sleep by herself.
SM - can you tell us yet?!?!?
Dora - glad you're still enjoying work.
Scruffy - hugs to you.
Hammy - have a great night tonight!angela6834 wrote: »Im shattered!! Never mind...im going to try a mother and toddlers group this afternoon. A little nervous. I seem to have lost my self confidence since having Rose and it seems a little daunting.
I have Caitlin manages to get back on track with her food today. Do you have anything planned?
When I went to a couple of new things at my local SureStart Centre, I used to try and break the ice by talking to the babies directly ("aren't you gorgeous, what's your name?/how old are you?", then the mum would reply. Or compliment the mum on the lovely outfit her baby is wearing (even if it's not). Most mummies love talking about their babies so giving them an opportunity like that, you should be chatting away in no time at all. I hope you enjoy it.
She's only had 4oz of her 5oz bottle this morning, but I'll put a couple of ozs on her weetabix soon and see if she will have any of that.
We usually go swimming on a Friday morning, but going to give it a miss today as I don't think it's wise to go. I'm hoping they'll let me take her to an extra session one week, as it costs £8 a time and you pay in advance. But even if they don't, I'd rather her stay indoors for now until she's fully recovered.
Mum's coming over this morning so I can nip to Tesco and pick up the baby wipes I ordered from Tesco Direct. I also need to pay a cheque in that was a refund for overpaying my student loan when I paid it off last year.
Have a good day everyone
