Was a bit sad yesterday as when we took the dogs out, the family of my neighbour who died recently were in his house clearing his stuff out.

Got the window fitters coming today. The bathroom has a very narrow window high up with very thick frosted glass. As it's a north facing room, it doesn't get much light in. It's a wooden window and the frame warped ages ago and I haven't been able to open it, so I've been fighting a battle with black mould. Window fitters are going to take some bricks out to make it bigger, and the new window will have trickle vents in to help prevent the black mould. Got them on the other bathroom window and they do help.

Looking forward to the problems being solved with the new window, but not looking forward to having a big hole in the house as it's freezing today! Hope Charlotte is ok as she hates drills and cries when I use one.

Thanks Jenny, I had a telephone consultation yesterday - my GP doesn't believe in thrush in the breast

I am such a bad Mummy - I have given David my cold and he obviously has a sore throat and is struggling to breathe with his blocked nose . I am still going out tonight with RL Mummy friends though to celebrate my birthday this weekend :j

Yep he is. Do you know I had never even thought of that. on my visit to work yesterday someone suggested that the next one should be called Charles!!!
Had a nice couple of hours there and sorted out some problems for them - men are sooo useless sometines ( Bruno and MOTM excepted!)
William was asleep for most of it and then woke up on the train home to have a feed, had 2 ozs and went back to sleep!!

I'm so jealous of you all meeting up. There arent many groups near me or many of you so dont really meet up with anyone.... typical just caught up and he's woken up grr see you in a bit...

Hammy, I hope David feels better soon. Silly Doc. How can you not believe in something to have been medically proven?

3, Id be tempted to send her and see how she goes. If she feels really bad im sure they'll ring you.

I'd probably keep her off, 3, but I get horrible headaches and I'd be worried she got the same type as me if she was my littlie, IYSWIM? But without that I'd send her in.

Postman rang the bell and woke poor snotty Molly so my morning tea toast and catchup has been joined by a small girl wheezing pathetically and chasing my mouse. But she just latched herself on through great exploration of my clothing so is now at least contained.

morning all,

just going to warn you in advance that i have a pretty self indulgent post coming on. i think i just need to get it typed out, and out of my head (although i know it wont go away) if that's okay.

i am really really struggling being back at work. i love what i do, but there is so much going on in the company that staff moral is at an all time low (people leaving/penny pinching/hours being cut etc). also, having to deal with colleagues moods (and in turn being offish until they need you do to something for them).

i just can't get passed having to deal with all that rubbish and that it means i dont get to see my daughter all day.

i know have over simplified the above but i spent a good few hours in tears last night over it.

it is best for my daughter of course that her two parents work and i was sooooo into my work before i had her that this feeling is so unknown to me.

i appreciate that all working mums will feel this way but how do you get passed it?

not even sure if this is a good idea to post this as it's a bit personal, but i just dont know what to do.

just know i could burst into tears again at any point. thought i might have felt better this morning after crying last night but unfortunately not.

just going to try and keep my head down today, get through a lot of stuff and give my LO a big hug and kiss when i get home

When she described the headache last night, it started around her eye, and she was feeling like she needed to be sick. This morning she said it feels like someone has took her head off, and now there were kickboxers fighting in her brain! :eek:

I've had migraine for years, sounding exactly like her description (without the kickboxers), but i'm almost positive I didn't start them at 9?

Thanks for all your opinions on sending DD to school. There are a lot of mean mummys on here. I've kept her off because its so unlike her. If she was faking illness every week i'd be mean too and kick her backside to school.


Choppy when we had it at the start of December we passed it around to everyone in the family. We visited a friend one evening when I thought we were better, for an hour, she text me the following morning, she'd been up being sick all night.
And OH still didn't miss a day of work! His worst day was the Friday, which happened to be his day off that week. He still went in on the Saturday. :mad: (And spread it around work!)
