Oh yes, meant to say: Elena had her last set of jabs on monday - OH took the afternoon off so he could come with us She did very well: didn't cry for too long, and doesn't seem to have had any reaction.

She got weighed and is now 17lbs 10oz!! Shes's basically just about into 6-9 month clothes and she's only 4 months old Shes not fat though, and the HV didn't say anything: she's just under the 98th centile for weight, and on the 75th for height. They would tell me if there was anything to worry about, wouldn't they?

I think I'm going to go with asda for my two for insurance, it seems like the best cheap cover?

I've probably been in there many a time when I worked for phones4u, for a while I used to go round all the stores in the region helping and training and stuff, and the area manager used to always take me in there and moan that all I wanted was a cup of tea! Twas good tea though!

Don't even know their birthdates outside the current generation anyway! I just tried names then skimmed around the results, but mostly relatively distinctive names and a couple of them were public figure types so wasn't too hard to pick them out once I thought of it

Ok thanks, last update was that they'd shaved her hair on one side so they could get a line in down next to her heart as all her veins are collasping. I suppose that's normal on one so little. At least this one won't need changing so it saves her going through it again. DD was cheered up when her friends started contacting her to visit. Great thing facebook for getting the word out! I'd logged in under her named and posted an SOS.

Sorry job hunting not great, bad time of year to be looking!

awwwww see fb can cause some trouble but it can also but a big help .. poor little one more strong vibes to her and ((hugs)) to DD and you of course ...

im sure theres a job out there just gotta keep my chin up and keep looking x

Our cat used to do that, the weirdo, and he'd get all outraged if things were left on the draining board so he couldn't sit there. Grubby little barstool

Tara, apparently shaving the heads of newborns does astonishing things for hair growth. I have very very fine hair, but my brother's head was shaved a few times and he has astonishingly thick, luxuriant hair. Some countries shave newborn heads as a matter of course to give them super thick hair.

Every cloud and all that But I'm so glad she's doing well and your DD is getting PALs support.

I had to go for another work meeting, which turned out to be important only because I was seen to be at it - nothing I do was even remotely relevant but I had to be there for the purposes of showing my face. I have more than enough to get on with without this bullsheet. GAH.

Just got home and fed Molly, and when she was done she arched her way down so she was lying on my legs, then again so she was mostly on the floor. She is now lying completely on the floor laughing at her feet. She's never normally allowed on the floor in here cause it's grubby but I've decided I don't care today. She's getting a bath in the next couple of days anyway....

It wasn't because H was in distress, but because I contracted for 44 hours but never dilated beyond 2 cm. No-one has been able to give me any reason why it happened but H was head down so it wasn't that.

Thanks 3 and WM for sharing your experiences. I'm not sure whether I would want a c-section or a v-bac but I know I'd like to have the option of an elective before I get pregnant again. Does that make any sense at all?!

Ahh I see, possible random Qu but did you feel comfortable in hosp? There was a discussion about failure to dilate/progress recently and some MWs/Doulas said they'd had women that could only dilate when they were at home and left alone, there is a theory that it is a remaining bit of us from many many years ago when we were cave women and would hold on to bubba until it was safe IYSWIM

wow she's a big 'un Edgar is 8mths and was 17lb 3 yesterday.
Nothing to worry about at all, are you/OH tall and or stocky?
My boys are both little skinny things like both OH an I were when little
